Most everyone I talk to these days is stressed out to the maximum! The economy has gotten them down, so much going on in their lives, whether it be health issues for themselves or family and friends, losing their jobs, having to sell their dream homes and get something smaller or just plain not being able to pay their bills. The reasons are countless, really. There is so much happening in the world right now and it's stressing out the masses.
Please join us this Sunday night to discuss the things that stress you out and how to lessen that stress with diet, exercise, recreation, meditation, positive thinking, learning to have fun again, alone time...you name it! Call in with your thoughts on why so many are stressed and any tips you may have to combat it that have worked for you or those you know.
If we put our heads together, we can battle whatever comes our way! Let's help each other find new ways to give that stress a battle it can't win...and learn to strangle your stress, once and for all!
Susan Jones was nearly beaten to death earlier this year.
Now she's going public and hoping her story helps other women leave abusive relationships. "He got mad and pulled a 12-gauge on me; we fought over that and then he began beating me with his fists and strangling me," said Susan Jones. Susan Jones never thought she'd become another face of domestic violence.
"My kids have lost their dad, grandkids have lost their grandpa," she said. According to court documents, Jones' husband, David Jones, attacked her last January. Her face was swollen and his hands left bruises on her neck where he tried to strangle her.
"While he was strangling me I was thinking about my little grandkids and my children - thinking I was taking my last breath," she said. David Jones is now in the Creek County jail waiting trial on domestic violence.
Jones recently decided to take her story public. She started a Facebook page and wants to encourage other men and women to get out of violent relationships. "I'm hoping it'll save somebody's life. Hopefully, it will help another family from being torn apart," Jones said.
Are all of these environmental crises real? Or are we being hoodwinked?
Warren Duffy talks about the environment, taking a look behind that “green curtain” exposing the who, how and why global environmentalists have been slowly strangling American citizens’ livelihood. Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately? There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective. Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting. But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree! If you’ve always wondered how the “other side” thinks and how they’ve arrived at their “stand”, then this is the show for you!
It’s not the right side, it’s not the wrong side, but the REAL side of the issues!
Matthew Goode or Goody as his friends call him, joins host Robin Milling to discuss his career turning role as a creepy psychopath in Stoker. Matthew tells Robin some of the belt strangling scenes got a bit dangerous, causing his co-star Alden Ehrenreich to gasp for air, but says Nicole Kidman was a real trooper insisting he go for it!
The Watchmen star is also going for it on the small screen, starring in the upcoming Showtime series The Vatican where he'll be playing the papal secretary Bernd Koch opposite Bruno Ganz' pope. He tells Robin he is nervous to be directed by Ridley Scott who's late brother Tony also produced Stoker.
Matthew also hopes to grace the New York stage some day in a production of The Glass Menagerie, a play that is dear to him as he cut his teeth on Tennessee Williams' monologue before starting University in England.

So many of the Lame-Stream Media elites wanting to keep the lid down tight on all things Wahhabist world-wide. It's as though they are out to make the common folk think there's not that much wrong with those who want to force Islam to the unbelieving infidel masses.
Another point they work so hard to put forth is how we need to "understand the Islamic mindset." Really? It's not that hard to figure out, actually; the Islamofascist of the world want a special set of rules for themselves, yet a set of strangling restrictions foisted upon the "unimportant majority." To top it all off, if one says something counter to what CAIR or any of the other caliphate groups put forth, you're automatically labeled as being a "bigot", "islamophobe", or [worst of all!] "RACIST!"
Their efforts are in overdrive, often trying to point out how we're being so intollerant. Wrong! The necessity for calling out those who commit heinous acts in the name of a religion need to be described in a term everyone can understand - EVIL. THAT's exactly what they are! Also to make sure their apologist accomplices need this to be pointed out about them whenever possible. Ladies & menfolk... sit down, strap in & HOLD ON!
All this and more coming up on Still Flyin' Over the Heartland!
Hosted by me, Flyover Territory, aka Eric, the acerbically witted, high octane, in-your-face, never-say-die, slightly irreverent, semi-seedy underbelly of the rightward side of the BTR dial

The GOP is turning what some see as a presidential slight aimed at business owners and entrepreneurs into a theme for a night of the Republican National Convention next week, titling Tuesday night’s session “We Built This!” The Sikh temple massacre prompted calls for stricter gun control, but some members of the India-based faith -- who carry ceremonial knives -- are considering taking up firearms in light of the tragedy. Tony Scott's fatal leap off an L.A. bridge was captured on tape by multiple cameras ... one showing Tony crouched the moment he began to jump ... and #186pointDUCE has learned the shots are being vigorously shopped around ... for a price. Doctors discovered a 9-inch fork inside a man who had been admitted to a hospital complaining of stomach pains, BBC News reported. The man said he had swallowed the fork a decade ago, while "messing around." Investigators say the woman was drunk on a July evening when she and her boyfriend called on their 65-year-old neighbor for money to buy drinks. Angry that he refused to lend them money, the woman punched him in the face and tried to strangle him with her hands, before taking off her bra and strangling him with it…. And Twitter Shot outs @goofybone and much much more call in 646-595-4136.....
