On this week's ScreenPicks Movie Show, we review three new films. First, we look at the new biblical epic Exodus: Gods and Kings, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Christian Bale. Then we'll review Paul Thomas Anderson's latest effort Inherent Vice. Finally, we'll talk about Still Alice, starring Julianne Moore as a woman suffering from early Alzheimer's disease.
In Joshua chapter 10 there’s an amazing story of the day the sun stood still hence the title of this message: Sun Stand Still.
Now there are many naysayers and atheists who serve the devil and want us to believe that the Bible is merely myth, but they’re wrong because that’s simply not true.
These stories are true; they ARE historical fact as we’ll see in this message.
Now there’s no story in the entire Bible with the exception perhaps of Jonah and the whale that has been more ridiculed than the long day the sun stood still for Joshua.
But the story of Jonah in the belly of the whale’s a story for another day!.
Now these skeptics claim that this story of the sun standing still actually disproves the authenticity of the Bible.
But actually in a very real, strange and glorious way it authenticates and substantiates the authenticity, the reliability, the infallibility, and the factuality of the Word of God.
And, that’s what we’ll see today as we study the story of the day that the sun stood still.
Stay tuned as we look at the historical, philosophical and heavenly battles that wage over the day the sun stood still!
In Troubled Times, Does 'The Black Church' Still Matter?
From Michel Martin Going There
African-American clergy, academics and activists will hold a march on Washington this week, protesting the grand jury decisions in Ferguson, Mo. and New York City and call on the federal government to intervene in the prosecutions of police officers accused of unjustified use of force.
I talked with Reverend Raphael Warnock and Eddie Glaude, Jr., two prominent African-American religious thinkers, about the role of black churches in the wake of major protests and demonstrations inspired by events in Ferguson and New York City. Warnock is the senior pastor at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Ga. — a pulpit once held by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. — and was in Washington to attend a conference hosted by the Black Church Center for Justice and Equality. Glaude is a professor of religion and chair of the Center for African American Studies at Princeton University. In 2010, he wrote an attention-grabbing essay called "The Black Church is Dead."
A black parishioner shares his frustration with the absence of outrage from the pulpit at his majority-white place of worship.

Most likely we will be dead and buried long before we see no racism in the Unite States. Right now in 2014 we have police officers texting racial things on their government phones that we pay for. Police still pulling over people just for driving while black. We even have reverse racism where black people are being prejudist and racist to white people. Tonight we will talk about this hopefully on a even level so tune in from 7pm to 9 pm central time. Call in # is 347-308-8813

He came to seek and to save that which was lost and bring hope to them who felt like they had been forgotten. There is still hope. All you need to do is receive a touch from the Lord
From the beginning of time there have been people who live a life time thinking there is no hope for them they lived in the days of Jesus and even before and they are many still living now who believe that because of who they are there is no hope.

SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 53:7-12
is based on
2 Chronicles 7:14
2 Chronicles 7:14-16 (KJV)
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
