A riveting crime story always keeps my attention. First time author, Stephen J. Resnick has written The 45 Stitch Rule, a fictional account of events facing members of the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office during a particular week in August of 1974. The book details the good, the bad, and the ugly side of dealing with the victims and perpetrators of crime in Brooklyn. The author also offers a look at the humorous side to criminal proceedings such as The Best Free Night Show In Town also known as Night Court (recall that TV show and you get the idea). The story begins on a Sunday morning, as Assistant District Attorney, Alan Stone, is contacted by an NYPD patrolman seeking help on a problem with a confessed axe murderer. The story follows Stone through the week, as he investigates and prosecutes serious and frivolous crimes, and finds love in an unexpected place. It’s a tough week for ADA Stone and the NYPD and includes plenty of murder and mayhem with a cast of richly drawn characters. The action takes place in Brooklyn but there are sidelines in Bordentown and Hightstown, NJ. The title of the book, The 45 Stitch Rule, had me wondering until the significance was explained. It seems there are many unwritten rules that guide law enforcement in their daily grind of dealing with too many criminals in an overloaded justice system. Think plea bargaining. This book is fiction, but author Stephen J. Resnick definitely has the inside track. He spent many years as a prosecutor in NY and NJ, at county and state levels. He has prosecuted everything from street crime, organized crime, narcotics and such, to bribery, securities fraud, Medicaid fraud and environmental crimes. As a government attorney he has represented sitting judges and prosecutors. After the interview, please check out After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live.
Ruled by the evil White cockroaches, on an oppressive plantation, Anton Indigo, Antrea Violet, and a thousand other ants escape to seek freedom on Ant Farm. When they arrive, although their lives are not utopian, the tiny insects find themselves with much more freedom and prosperity than ever before. Can the ants maintain this positive new lifestyle? Or will some of the more power-hungry bugs prevail, and deteriorate the new society into the same nightmare from which they escaped in the first place?
Stephen Aaron Grey is passionate about liberty. Having traveled the globe as an internationally acclaimed DJ (under the stage name ‘Freaky Flow’), he has come to recognize that freedom works, and control does not. Grey’s Ant Farm expresses these ideas in a creative narrative that anyone can easily understand. With an academic history focused on world religions, to boot, Grey possesses an added cultural sensitivity, which contributes to the universal impact of the philosophies that he holds so dear.

What do a mini-ice age, Trojan Horse malware, and EMP have in common? Could it explain the mysterious prediction on Deagel.com that America’s population will be reduced nearly 80% over the next 10 years? In Part 2, Rick talks with his personal friend Stephen in Panama about discerning the times and hearing God’s voice. Most of all, the importance of obeying God’s instructions.
Stephen A. Smith from ESPN’s First Take responded to comments Floyd Mayweather Jr. made about him in an interview with Ben Thompson from Fighthype.com. Mayweather verbally assaulted Smith and apparently wasn’t too happy about Smith saying on a recent episode of First Take that if Mayweather doesn’t fight Manny Pacquiao next that he would publicly state on the show that he believed Mayweather was avoiding Pacquiao.
Smith stated earlier today on First Take that “Floyd knows better than that. He knows that I say what I mean and I mean what I say. And if anyone is back tracking, some would say that he is back tracking. Even if I did backtrack which I don’t believe that I do, at least I got a legitimate reason to, I work for somebody. I have to answer to somebody, that’s ESPN. You want to call that a shame then call most of the American public being shameful because they’re employed by somebody else.”

Retired General Stephen Sanders is with us today to talk abut the true meaning of Veterans Day. It is NOT about the stores having mega sales. It IS about our awesome veterans, many of whom sacrificed their lives so we could live in a world of peace.
It is a day of remembrance, a day to honor our heroes. Our veterans have risked their lives for us; they have made extraordinary sacrifices. Today is a day to think abut what you can do to honor them and what you can do to support them and their families.
Hear about the resourcs, the veteran organizations and charities. You can make a difference. I'm proud to be an American; I'm proud of all who served. It is our time to serve them!
