    Stephany Raines enters her second year as the athletic director for SCAD Atlanta. Raines joined the SCAD in July of 2005 as the women’s head basketball coach at the Savannah location. Most recently she has served as the assistant athletic director in Savannah and has helped guide the department to some of the most successful years in its history. The quality of her interpersonal skills and her positive outlook are recognized across campus.

    Stephanie Barenz is a Milwaukee artist who honors the stories of others through painting and writing. Her mission is to tell others that their experiences, whether of pain or joy, matter.

    Stephanie received her MFA or Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from Washington University in St. Louis in 2009. She has been working full-time as an artist for over ten years. Barenz is recognized as an established artist in the Milwaukee community through her participation in several artist residencies such as the Mandel Creative Studio and the Pfister Hotel AiR program. She is a Professional Dimension's 2015 SACI Artist.

    Her work has been acquired by notable public collectors, such as Northwestern Mutual and Alverno College and by private collectors across the United States and in Europe. Her paintings have been exhibited at MAM, MOWA, Dean Jensen Gallery, and Expo 72 in Chicago.

    Her work has been featured in The Artist's Magazine, the Journal Sentinel, MPTV, Milwaukee Magazine, the Huffington Post, and many more.     Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

    On Monday, October 13, at 10:00 AM, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, my guest will be Stephany Bonney, the American Cancer Society's Eastern Division Interim Senior Director, Community Events.   In that capacity, Stephany serves as the senior manager of community events for the Division.She provides vision, leadership and strategic direction to a 30-member team responsible for the Society’s top fundraising and community engagement event, the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

    Prior to this role, Stephany served as Director for New York metro, responsible for all aspects of income development surrounding their Making Strides Against Breast Cancer portfolio. In that role, Stephany led the first ever Making Strides event to break $3 million dollars in fundraising.

    Stephany has always been involved in the fight against breast cancer, leading the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer for 4 years prior to joining the American Cancer Society. In total, Stephany has raised more than $50 million in the fight. The proud niece of breast cancer survivors, she earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from SUNY Cortland but decided to use her passion for fundraising to drive her career within the non-profit sector.
