Tens of millions of Americans are taking cholesterol-lowering drugs—mostly statins—and some "experts" claim that many millions more should be taking them. I couldn't disagree more.
Statins are HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, that is, they act by blocking the enzyme in your liver that is responsible for making cholesterol (HMG-CoA reductase).
The fact that statin drugs cause side effects is well established—there are now 900 studies proving their adverse effects, which run the gamut from muscle problems to increased cancer risk.
Statins cause numerous side effects that include:
Muscle problems, polyneuropathy (nerve damage in the hands and feet), and rhabdomyolysis (a serious degenerative muscle tissue condition); Acidosis; Immune depression; Anemia; Memory loss; Pancreas or liver dysfunction, including a potential increase in liver enzymes; Cataracts and Sexual dysfunction to name a few.
There is evidence that taking statins may even increase your risk for Lou Gehrig's disease, diabetes and even cancer. However, muscle problems and memory loss are the best known statin drug adverse side effects.
Statin drugs increase insulin resistance, which can be extremely harmful to your health. Tune in Wednesday Aug 15, 2012 at 7:PM est for more.

Game of Life
In this episode Yuya discusses the reciprocal nature of the Game of Life. Without a real investment in the same resource pools that we look to draw from, unceasingly, we run the risk of those wells drying up. It is the overall persepctive of what Yuya refers to as "The Game" that offers the player an opportunity to elevate their position and statin in life. As he reminds us, complaining and low level craftiness will not earn one a seat at the tables of power.

In today's show we will be talking about cholesterol-lowering drugs otherwise known as statins. We will bring much research about the effectiveness of these drugs, side effects and how it harms your body. This will be a continuation of our previous show about Cholesterol. We recommend listening to our previous show on cholesterol to give you a better understanding and depth of how statin drugs are not very good for you.
If you are taking a cholesterol-lowering statin drug such as Lipitor, Zocor, Crestor or Pravachol and want to add to the body what is being robbed that the heart must have, then we have important news to share with you today.
WE HAVE ALL BEEN LED TO believe that cholesterol is bad and that lowering it is good. Because of extensive pharmaceutical marketing to both doctors and patients, so we think that using statin drugs is proven to work to lower the risk of heart attacks and death.
But on what scientific evidence is this based, what does that evidence really show?
Roger Williams a theologian; once said something that is very applicable to how we commonly view the benefits of statins. “There are liars, damn liars, and statisticians.”
Tune in this Wednesday evening September 10, at 7:PM to hear the rest of the story.
Hosted By Kimberley Jaeger featuring an interview with Dr Hannah Yoseph & James Yoseph about their important book and research on:
"How Statin Drugs REALLY Lower Cholesterol (And Kill You One Cell at a Time)"

The Yosephs have written the most stunning exposé. In simple language they reveal the science, the corruption and the enormous conspiracy it took to bring statins to market. As fast paced as a Mickey Spillane novel they report the research, the fraud and the facts like a detective in hot pursuit of a Nazi war criminal. Once picked up it cannot be put down until the reading is done. It is riveting. They have accomplished the impossible: they have made both complex science and medical history fascinating to read. What could not be done in an exposé they accomplished with almost unbelievable ease. It will change your paradigms about medicine forever. Read it!
