This week we have with us former Georgia Congressman and Dukes of Hazzard castmember Ben "Cooter Davenport" Jones to discuss his role in the primary loss of Virgina congressman and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.
At the end we will have our trademark weekly hall of fame and shame for those politicians and prominent individuals who made great sense or shameful nonsense, respectively. The problems in Iraq feature prominently in our Hall of Shame
Our special opening and closing music is the new dance hit "Tonight's Your Night" produced by Frank Lamboy and sung by my friend Jenn Cuneta. The song is now available on iTunes and other music distribution sites.
If you want to write to me and give me your opinion of any topic I cover, write to firstname.lastname@example.org and I may just read your opinion on the air. Again that’s email@example.com

Although Mike Wooley has been on many radio shows of late, Lone Star Legends Radio has something special for this show. Mike Wooley has promised to reveal some true mysterious encounters that he has never revealed before. His story began on a cold Saturday in Dec 1981 while hunting, Mike Wooley encountered a Bigfoot. Mike never told a soul for 20 years. After coming forward, his story inspired the making of a Bigfoot movie called Skookum the Hunt for Bigfoot, due to be released soon. Joining us is a very special guest Debi King McMartin who served as cowriter and producer for the movie Skookum the Hunt for Bigfoot. Ms. McMartin served as Production Coordinator for the award-winning documentary film titled Missing, Presumed Dead, produced by Hollywood filmmaker Bill Dumas and narrated by Ed Asner. January Jones-Sherrie Payne-The Supremes
January Jones welcomes Tom Ingrassia and Jared Chrudimsky co-author’s of When One Door Closes: Overcoming Adversity By Following Your Dreams sharing true life stories of people who have overcome insurmountable obstacles in order to live their dreams. Today’s interview features Scherrie Payne, the co-lead singer of The Supremes 1973 to 1977. Because of her powerful voice and petite stature of only five-foot-two, she is sometimes referred to as "the little lady with the big voice."
As a new Supreme in an era when their popularity was waning, because reporters were still asking about Diana Ross. When she arrived, original Supreme Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong were the other two members of the group. Payne gained recognition for her vocals in "He's My Man" taken from the album The Supremes.
January Jones with From Hell To Heaven
When you grow up in an environment where the adults violate the trust of the children, it becomes a difficult road to overcome. It takes that one person to influence your life and tell you that you deserve better and you can become something, and be somebody, if you work hard to find your way.
I want everyone to step out on limb when an opportunity arises, and lift up a struggling young child or adolescent. These are formative years for them and they need role models; lots of them. It is so easy to go down the path of least resistance which is not always the best path. It is a crime that the adults in my life during childhood did not think it important enough to protect innocent children from violence, abuse, and a sexual predator.
