Rolling Thunder's life and wisdom in his own words and from first-hand accounts and interviews with those who knew him well. * Contains never-before-released talks by Rolling Thunder preserved by the Grateful Dead's Mickey Hart as well as accounts of remarkable healings and weather magic from famous personalities who knew him * Explains that in order to heal Nature's afflictions we must first restore balance and unity in ourselves Intertribal medicine man Rolling Thunder (1916-1997) was a healer, teacher, visionary, and activist who rose to popularity in the 1960s and '70s through his friendship with artists such as Bob Dylan and as the inspiration for the Billy Jack films. Eyewitness accounts of his remarkable healings are legion, as are those of his ability to call forth the forces of nature, typically in the form of thunder clouds. Yet it was his equally uncommon gift as a prophet and living representative of Native American wisdom that truly set him apart from other spiritual teachers of that era. Thirty years before most people had ever heard of global warming, Rolling Thunder described in graphic detail the signs of encroaching planetary doom and campaigned for environmental harmony. The key to healing nature's afflictions, he maintained, is to first restore balance and unity in ourselves. Containing never-before-released talks preserved by the Grateful Dead's Mickey Hart, this book shares the teachings of Rolling Thunder in his own words and through inspiring interviews with psychologist Alberto Villoldo and other famous personalities who knew him. Andy Stanley talks about OUR APPETITES. Things that can RUIN our life and make us miserable, if we DO NOT control them. Charles Andrew "Andy" Stanley is the senior pastor of North Point Community Church
Andy Stanley says: "I want to talk about the internal tension that all of us carry that’s associated with our
appetites. It’s an internal tension that we carry because we all want MORE. The only
word for the “appetites” in your vocabulary is MORE. When we talk about appetites, we
immediately think about food or hunger, but there are a lot of appetites. There’s food and
sex and….I’m sure there are a lot more. For me, I’m just looking through the lens of a
guy because that’s all I’ve really been, but for you ladies who a trying to figure men out,
they only have three appetites: food, sex and sleep. Just kidding. God has designed us in
such a way that we are really just a big bundle of appetites and desires. And appetites also
include security, and appetite for love, an appetite to be respected, to be cherished, to feel
successful...All these things God designed us with, but each one of our appetites creates
tension. The reason you feel tension in your life, is because one or more of your appetites
are clamoring for MORE.
1. All of us in leadership have an appetite for progress. We want to see our churches
or companies move forward.
2. We have an appetite for greater responsibility. You probably wish you had more
responsibility, but here’s the interesting thing. Every time you get more
responsibility in your organization, what do you want? MORE!
3. We want respect-recognition for what we’ve accomplished.

We all know what's required to fall in love. A pulse. Falling in love is easy. But staying there? That's something else entirely. With more than 1,500 matchmaker organizations in the United States, finding someone is easier than ever, but staying together seems to get more difficult every day. So. . . is it possible for two people to fall in love and actually stay there? Absolutely.

As many citizens across the country are reacting with anger to the Grand Jury's decision to file no charges against police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of unarmed teen Michael Brown, there are those who have launched a proactive strategy in the fight for justice. Judge Stanley Hill has worked for the last several years coordinating the PUSH Excel Oratorical Contest, an event in which youth in grades 1 through 12 memorize some of history's most powerful speeches in the areas of peace and justice. Judge Hill coaches these youth and prepares them to compete in a stimulating and enjoyable rhetorical competition that focuses on the persuasive power of eloquent, inspirational speech. These are the perhaps future lawyers who will present arguments before courts and win cases. What better way to fight back against injustice than to prepare future leaders who can be the orators that awaken their peers to the principles of truth, honor, and righteousness? Some of those whose memorable speeches will be recited by students in the upcoming contest Saturday December 20, 2014 include President Barack Obama, Langston Hughes, Robert Frost, Nikki Giovanni, and The Girl Who Silenced the United Nations for Five Minutes. Judge Hill explains his motivation for empowering these youth with outstanding speaking skills, and what the memorization of such impressive words will do in shaping their character. Later, we'll be joined by organizers in Missouri who reflect on how to take the energy of anger in the protesters and use it to create constructive change across the country.
As the citizens across the country continue to react to the Grand Jury's decision in Ferguson Missouri to file no charges against police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of unarmed teen Michael Brown,

Suspense Radio is back with 60 minutes and two fantastic guests, Kelli Stanley and Elizabeth Heiter.
Kelli Stanley with City of Ghosts: For the United States, war is on the horizon.
For Miranda Corbie, private investigator and erstwhile escort, there are debts to be paid and memories—long-suppressed and willfully forgotten—to be resurrected. Enter the U.S. State Department and the man who helped Miranda get her PI license. A man she owes. A man who asks her to track a chemistry professor here in San Francisco whom he suspects is a spy for the Nazis. Playing along may get Miranda a ticket to Blitz-bombed England and answers about her past…if she survives.
Through sordid back alleys and art gallery halls, from drag dress nightclubs to a Nazi costume ball, Miranda's journey into fear takes her on the famed City of San Francisco streamliner and to Reno, Nevada, the Biggest Little City in the World…where she finds herself framed for a murder she never anticipated. Forced to go underground, Miranda soldiers on alone, determined to find the truth about a murder, a Nazi spy, and her own troubling past.
Elizabeth Heiter with Hunted:
Terror stalks a small Virginia town.
FBI rising star, criminal profiler Evelyn Baine, knows how to think like a serial killer. But she's never chased anyone like the Bakersville Burier, who hunts young women and displays them, half-buried, deep in the woods. As the body count climbs, Evelyn's relentless pursuit of the killer puts her career—and her life—at risk. And the evil lurking in the Burier's mind may be more than even she can unravel.
