It is a great pleasure to bring a local resource to the phone with me again. Welcome Deb Cottin, SAFE CONNECTIONS, St. Louis Missouri. What types of services do they have for women, children & what about men? How do they help rebuild lives that have been beaten down and stipped of value after leaving a dangerous relationship? What changes are being seen throughout government & healthcare systems in the mission to end the violence within our homes? How can you connect with a center in your area? Join me as I talk with Deb about these questions and more.
We are sharing this first discussion about resources of help in this October Domestic Violence Awareness Month, hope you get your purple out and wear/display it with pride. There is always hope when family & friends support those trapped in this often viciuos cycle. We can all be a source of help, simply open your heart & mind to caring, donating, assisting those who are trying to break free and end the violence in their lives.
We hope you share and invite a friend, as we never know who may be dealing with some form of abuse or degradation, victims are normally too ashamed to speak up or think there is no help. Only by providing resources and educating society about the very silent subtle signs can we hope to change what has become so absurdly accepted within our families & our homes.
Brought to you by Trish McKnight & Michal Madison, Founders: Butterfly Dreams Abuse Recovery. A not for profit to help Victims, Survivors, Families & Communities defend against abuse and/or violence. Thank you
