Callywood Live with Walker Smith & Keenan Bristol

    in Entertainment

Prior to her writing years, Walker Smith worked in Los Angeles under the name Bobbi Walker as a recording artist signed to the prestigious Casablanca label. Even as she recorded three solo albums, she quietly continued her creative writing studies and began writing professionally part-time.  In 1995, she moved to New York to pursue a full-time writing career.  There she wrote commentary and interviews for two magazines, Vertigo and African Voices, as well as features for the Reel Sisters Film Festival.  She completed a biography of celebrated radio pioneer Jack “The Rapper” Gibson in 1999, and then moved to New Orleans.  Smith released her first novel The Color Line just two months before Hurricane Katrina made landfall.  After relocating, she continued to write and finally finished her most personal novel. As a second-generation musician, Smith combined childhood memories of her father’s bebop jam sessions with her own experiences to create the world and characters of Bluestone Rondo. She now resides in Houston, Texas with her husband David.Prior to her writing years,

Keenan "Special" Bristol is a popular Caribbean recording artist.  His new song is "Superman 1,2,3 Away," in keeping with the blood drive's slogan of "Heroes Donate Blood."  He has a free CODE RED concert coming up on May 15th.  Music Brings Life Inc., whick Keenan is the founder and president of, is a Brooklyn-based 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to educating young people in the Black American, Latino and Caribbean communities about the vital importance of donating blood, has begun its 2015 drive to get their message out and recruit donors, appropriately themed "Heroes Donate Blood."

#111 - Texas Kills ISIS, Monitors Jade Helm, Hillary (and Brady) Cheats

    in Politics Conservative

If you try to kill us in Texas, we'll kill you back! We also won't let you and your newly discovered favorite government tool, the U.S. military run around in our state unmonitored. Governor Greg Abbott is doing the right thing and we don't care what some Clintonista moron in Virginia (Terry McAuliffe) thinks about it. Meanwhile his former boss, Hillary, is under fire again as the inconvenient fact of 4 of her key donors being convicted or charged criminals is unearthed. Will people really vote for her knowing this? Particularly will women overlook this and vote for her based on her genitalia? Who cares? Brady knew about Deflate Gate.

Meet Jill Zupon, Founder of The Attention Center

Jill Zupon, a long-time Cleveland resident, was challenged by the difficulties of finding effective care for her son who struggled with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD). Jill vowed to someday create and make available a facility in which one could find comprehensive and cohesive medical, educational and nutritional care for individuals with ADHD in a single facility.

Her promise to herself, her family and the community came true in 2011 with the opening of The Attention Center of which Jill is the Owner/Director. The Attention Center is a medical center that can diagnose, treat and help manage the symptoms of ADHD.

Jill Zupon attended Kent State University and Cleveland State University as she pursued a degree in nursing. However, she ultimately chose a different path.

Over the years Jill has been an active volunteer in her community. She served on the Peaceful Schools Committee in the Chagrin Falls School District. Jill also spent ten years with the Geauga County Sherriff’s Department, where she helped develop a program to counsel female inmates and help them construct a plan for change upon their release. Later, Jill helped found the Geauga County Habitat for Humanity’s Youth United program; an outreach group for children, where she coordinated fundraising with area schools and acquired both corporate and private donors.

Jill is the recipient of numerous awards, including a Community Service award presented by the Geauga County Sherriff’s Department. Recently Jill was honored to be selected to give a TED Talk® about her journey with her son and creating The Attention Center

When she’s not working, Jill enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, cooking and gardening
