Friday, March 20th, we witnessed a new moon ‘supermoon’ total solar eclipse and the spring equinox falling on the same day, which is a rare astronomical event which has the potential to stir up some very powerful energetic shifts for our personal and collective transformations. The vernal equinox has long been celebrated by nearly all world cultures as a time of rebirth, fertility and new opportunities. There is a symbolic meaning here, shared by our histories and collective consciousness reflecting renewal and hope.
TGHE will discuss the FX of the astronomical, cultural, and energetic perspective of this event, and look at the ways of cleaning your "house." Also, we will touch on some of the issues of the week, and a look ahead to Chicago Politics as Early Voting starts on Monday.

Looking back at a previous episode where TGHE explored how fear influences decisions made in todays society. We will look at the relationship of police and the community in which it has sworn to serve and protect. But with a higher chance of being shot by police, what steps are being taken by the community to reduce these chances? Tonight, we begin another chapter of acknowledging people who are making a difference in their community through proper mentoring programs.
Tune in tonight for a very powerful episode, on a special night, beginning at 7p. As we welcome Speaker Mack D McGhee. He discusses the state of young black men in America and what can be done to give them hope, hold them accountable, and reduce the fear they have for their lives. In the last century or so, the media and its influence on the societies, has grown exponentially with the advance of technology. First there was the telegraph and the post offices, then the radio, the newspaper, magazines, television and now the internet and the new media including cell phones, tablets, etc. There has been much discussion about the negative influences of mass media, which we must understand as a responsible person of a society, but TGHE will attempt tackle this topic from a positive point of reference. Recently, a popular televsion show "Scandal" attempted to address a major concern of race relations in American society. TGHE asks the question, "1. Do you think the cries for Justice will lower after the show? 2. Do you think it will increase? 3. Or there will thing just remain the "same"?
Before discussing the influence of mass media on society it is imperative to explain the three basic functions of mass media; they are providing news/information, entertainment and education.
