This Monday night at 7/8p (ct/et) on The GreenHouse FX Radio Show, I'm asking the question - "NOW WHAT?"
The Republicans have control of the senate and the house... Obama is out in two years - what does that mean for the next six years? In Chicago, the Mayor election is in Feb... what are WE doing to educate ourselves on the current topics?... do WE know the topics? Do you feel that you will have to do "things" differently?
I think WE have a lot to talk about...

Beginning with the first modern-day legal system, the scales of justice have been used to symbolize the balance between truth and fairness sought after in the justice system. Along with the concept of truth and fairness, the image is also used to depict the balance between the support and opposition a case has, with "Lady Justice" responsible for weighing the two and reaching a fair and just verdict. As each side presents evidence and argument, the scales tip to one side or the other. The judge, or jury, is responsible for determining which side is heavier when all the evidence and argument has been presented. Now, it seems the concept of truth, fairness, and just verdict has become a vessel of corruption (cover up) and justified homocide... Since the recent decesions in MO. and NY. there has been a vast outcry for "justice" and to end the killings of Americans (especially Black people) by the hands of those whom are trusted to protect the people.
Now it is time to find strategy with thoughtful planning to make changes that are fair and obtainable by both the community and the police. Tonight on The GreenHouse FX, we will begin to examine the problems of communication with the police, the reasoning that resulted in a no indictment decision by the grand jury of Mo and NY, and a look at this issue that has exist in Chicago for a long time.
Tune in tonight at 7/8p (ct/et), (www.blogtalkradio.com/thegreenhousefx / 818-691-7412)
It has been an emotional week for America... with Ferguson, MO seeming to be the centere point of discussion, controversy, disappointment, rejoice, and anger. Since August, protest have been held throughout the nation and then bleed into the beginning of "Black Friday." Now the seasons and mentality has changed, as we journey in the winter holiday season, where is the thought of Peace, Joy, and Goodwill? I think a lot of people's perspectives has changed...
How about YOU? Since the decision in Ferguson to not indict Wilson, how has this "FX" YOU? Has this changed your decision about how to prepare for or celebrate the holiday season? Has this changed how YOU see the concept of justice in America?
Also, with the holiday season in progress there is a new movie coming out called "Exodus: Gods and Kings" which features controversy and drama before the movie is released. "...the main characters are white and everyone else African (people of color) are slaves..."
Should people of color be disappointed with Ridley Scott's choice of actors? Is it "creating a piece of historical 'art' that carries on oppressive imagery that’s helped shackle entire countries and corners of the world"?
And these are just a few things that's been discussed this week.

Continuing the monthly discussion in relation to mental health and substance abuse, Bill and Will Green look at the after "FX" of dealing with substance abuse. The personal challenges that exist... dealing with labels and stigmas, finding the strength to deal with their own inner-demons while having to cope with other people's "demons" and sterotypes as well.

Who owns the IEP process? Hear some insight from a special needs mom who's also a special education teacher.
Parents don't always realize how much work goes into an IEP, or how challenging it is for the teachers who write them.
Teachers don't always appreciate how lost parents can feel through the whole process.
Kids rarely get the full spectrum of services that will make for the most enriching educational experience possible.
Parents have to be the final driving force in the education of their child, because the only thing that will follow a child from pre-k to graduation is that IEP file and parental guidance.
Be sure to check out the IEP Aide from Vestidd, which will guide you through the important information on that IEP, and will allow you to store all of that paperwork easily, so that you can be the driving force and let that IEP grow with your child.
