    in Women

Chasity is a native of Southeast Arkansas, but has been a resident of the Midwest for almost fourteen years. She was previously a fifth grade teacher in the Ann Arbor Public Schools (Ann Arbor, MI). In 2006, Chasity met and married her husband Terrence. She is the proud mother of two boys, Donovan and Joshua.

After resigning from teaching in 2007, Chasity moved on to pursue plans for the future and to focus on her family. A series of unfortunate events in 2010 shaped her to become an author of a book entitled, “Broken for the Promise.” It is a depiction of a difficult journey that Chasity had over four years ago while pregnant with her son, Joshua. She was dying, homeless, and facing other hardships that she has since overcome in life.  The message is one of hope and healing as there is restoration after devastation

Grief Diaries Radio featuring TEDx Talk speaker Annah Elizabeth

    in Health

Growing up in a rural part of Raleigh, North Carolina, Annah  always knew she wanted to be a mom.  After college, she moved to rural New York, married at age twenty-five, and soon thereafter conceived.  On May 11, 1990, Annah's labor progressed exactly as all the books and doctors had said it would, but unexpected complications arose during delivery leading to the death of her son.  Over the next six years, Annah would encounter two miscarriages, two complicated but successful pregnancies, a six-week psychiatric stay for severe depression, and then while pregnant with her youngest, she discovered that her husband and her best friend were having an affair.

Throughout each ordeal she grieved.  She screamed those eternal questions, “Why me?” and “How am I going to survive?”  Throughout her journey, one thing was apparent to Annah:  there were numerous grief resources and outlets, but there were no tangible guides to help her once she decided, and then became determined, to celebrate her baby's life.

Join Lynda & Angie on Wednesday, December 10, as they talk with TEDx Talk speaker Annah Elizabeth about loss and healing, and her philosophy behind The Five Facets.  For show information, visit www.griefdiaries.com.

Talk to the Twins with with Author & Motivational Speaker Myron Gattison

    in Motivation

    Author & Motivatonal Speaker

Myron Gattison was born on August 10th, 1988 to 17 year old Melinda Gattison at Wilson Hospital in Darlington South Carolina. The father was never present so he shall remain nameless. His life growing up in a single parent home was quite different from most, because although his father was not present in his life his grandparents gave all the support he needed, helping out when his mother lacked. Myron was always larger than most children his age so he quickly took a liking to the game of football.   Now 21 years old at Johnson C. Smith Myron became known as Uncle Gatt to his fellow teammates because he took college serious this time and seemed to have so much wisdom for his age. He felt like he had a new lease on life, but on the football field things were not the same. He played 2 seasons at JCSU before he departed from the team. The spring going into his senior year he found out he would no longer be on Scholarship, that was the worse day ever, but little did he know that would change his life. Now that football was all but over for Myron he started to focus more of school and life after football. Myron always had a knack for speaking and was able to deliver messages in a very unique way, style and word play that appeal to his peers but grace and professionalism that any professor would respect. Having a love for people and the youth my started to post original quotes and thoughts on social networks and before he knew it people were inviting him to speak and youth events. He came up with a mentoring program called “REALBOSSGANG” and his small business is called “LEGITLIFE”. Myron has just finished his first of many more books and looks to continue to grow his brand into a nationwide movement.
