There is a Big Ten game of some import this weekend, and to better understand it, we're chatting with Spartans expert Chris Vannini. We discuss whether this is a rivalary or not, Michigan State's 4th quarter troubles, what position groups they'll have the greatest advantage (and disadvantage), where Cook sits on the pantheon of great QBs across the country, and whether he'd like to fight a Joey Bosa sized Duck. Also, after the show, we break down some major Ohio State recruiting developments.
You know Ben for his work at CBS. Now, he's coming to you live with MES. On No Holden Back, Holden looks at the good, the bad and the ugly of Michigan sports every Monday. On this week's show, Ben looks back at Michigan's win over Indiana, plus talks about the post David Brandon era. Plus, Michigan State might be playing for a division title on Saturday when the Spartans welcome Ohio State to town. We'll delve into this and more on No Holden Back!

The Lions get yet another thrilling comeback win at Ford Field over the Miami Dolphins, the Red Wings have a rough week, the Pistons get 2 wins from their homestand, the Michigan Wolverines barely hold on against the Northwestern Wildcats in Evanston, the Michigan State Spartans defense disappears entirely against the Ohio State Buckeyes offense and loses at home to drop out of the college football playoff picture, the Central Michigan Chippewas take the bye week, and the Tigers hire Alan Trammell as special assistant to president and general manager Dave Dombrowski.
The Lions take on the Patriots in New England on Sunday and the Chicago Bears at Ford Field on Thanksgiving Thursday. Will they play with or without Calvin Johnson, who suffered an elbow injury back in Arizona?
Michigan, Michigan State, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, and Western Michigan, continue their college football and basketball schedules.
The Red Wings and Pistons play on alternatively opposite nights. The Lions have the bye week, which means most of their injured players can heal up easier. Oh, and the Spartans also have their bye week.
The Wolverines don't. They do, however, return home to Ann Arbor and play another struggling team, the Indiana Hoosiers, on Homecoming. Before that game, Athletic Director Dave Brandon resigns, and former Steelcase CEO Jim Hackett is the interim AD.
Plus, the Central Michigan Chippewas and Eastern Michigan Eagles square off in Ypsilanti, while the Western Michigan Broncos take on the Miami-Ohio Redhawks.
The Wings play the Capitals, Kings, and Sabres.
The Pistons start their regular season in Denver against the Nuggets and in Minnesota against the Timberwolves and play their first regular-season home game against the Brooklyn Nets.
