On this weeks show we will be talking to Dissident Woman about Agenda 21. We will also be discussing other news from home and abroad.
The January 25, 2014, episode of American Heroes Radio features a conversation with Captain S. Martin Shelton, USN (ret.), the of author of St. Catherine’s Crown.
Captain S. Martin Shelton, USN (ret.) completed “forty plus years of military service which included active duty in the Korean and Vietnam wars, requiring that he travel throughout the world, with particular emphasis on the Far East. S. Martin Shelton has an extensive background in Soviet and Chinese studies which fostered his interest in the 1917 Russian Revolution, the Bolshevik’s regicide of the Czar, Empress, and their five children, and the burgeoning Soviet Communist régime. Captain S. Martin Shelton is the author of St. Catherine's Crown.
According to the book description of St. Catherine's Crown, “1917- Empress Alexandria understands that the Bolsheviks will soon topple the Czar. She charges her godson, Kirik Pirogov, to carry the imperial crown of Catherine the Great and a cache of Romanov jewelry to a secret czarist refuge in western China. Alexandra informs her youngest daughter, Grand Duchess Anastasia, of the escape route necessary to carry on the Romanov Dynasty.
Kirik and Anastasia make perilous journeys across Siberia via the Trans-Siberian Railroad. Their story is told against a background of revolution, their hardscrabble life in the Russian village, constant fear of the Soviet secret police, and unscrupulous treasure-hunters.”

THE BOOK IS TRULY A STUDY MANUEL.
So many people in this country are decent and good simply because they have they have grown up in the United States of America, a society that encourages charity and neighborliness. Decency is not an accident; in countries such as the old Soviet Union, indifference was rampant and kindness rare because virtue was crushed at every turn. America, on the other hand, has cultivated freedom and virtuous behavior, which allows goodness to flourish.
The greatness of America is not in question. The real question is, with leftist ideology steadily gaining a foothold, can that decency continue to flourish?
When virtue is defined as that which the government deems acceptable, and when that same government aggressively assumes the role of caring for those in need, can the goodness survive? Goodness is not something that a beneficent government can bestow; it flows from the hearts of free citizens reared in a tradition of morality, independence, and resourcefulness. When the left denigrates that tradition and seeks to replace it with a materialist, deterministic ideology that empowers an ever-expanding government, American goodness -- and hence American greatness -- is gravely imperiled
More Perestroika Deception on today’s Trunews. New Zealander Trevor Loudon discusses the enemies within, and how the communists have changed the way we think. Later in the program, former NASA space shuttle engineer Dr. John Casey talks about the Sun’s lower energy output and the possibility that we may be entering a prolonged period of cooling.

“Farber critically considers the role of madness in culture and sees it as a positive force for change rather than a disease needing treatment. Carolyn Yeager continues her investigation into "what makes a traitor" by looking at The Cambridge Five: Upper-class British Trinity College students who began their unlikely career as Communist sympathizers and members of secret 'discussion group' clubs. Anthony Blunt, Guy Burgess, Kim Philby and Donald Maclean went on to become full-fledged Soviet agents during WWII and the Cold War. Guy, Kim and Donald eventually defected to the Soviet Union and died there. Blunt and Cairncross were outed but never prosecuted, remaining in Britain. But why did they want to do it in the first place? That is never satisfactorily explained by them but Carolyn offers some suggestions.

Gold has been used as currency since 643 B.C.
1861 US paper currency was created by U.S. Treasury Secretary Salmon Chase.
1913 the Federal Reserve was created.
March 3, 1933 Pres. Roosevelt closed the banks as a result of the run on gold.
July 22, 1944 the Bretton Woods agreement central banks had to maintain fixed exchange rates between their currencies and the dollar.
1960 the U.S. held $19.4 billion in gold, enough to cover the $18.7 billion in foreign dollars outstanding.
1970, the U.S. only held $14.5 billion in gold against foreign dollar holdings of $45.7 billion
August 15, 1971 Pres. Nixon changed the dollar/gold relationship to $38 per ounce, and the Fed stopped redeeming dollars with gold.
1973 The U.S. government re-priced gold to $42 per ounce, and then decoupled the value of the dollar from gold altogether. The price of gold quickly shot up to $120 per ounce in the free market.
1973 Nixon and King Faisal of Saudi Arabia created the petrodollar system. Nixon asked Faisal to accept only US dollars as payment for oil and to invest any excess profits in US Treasury bonds, notes, and bills. In exchange, Nixon pledged to protect Saudi oilfields from the Soviet Union and other potential aggressors, such as Iran and Iraq (offered military protection).
Published on Apr 30, 2014: The Ministry of Finance on President Putin's order yesterday accelerated the opening of the St. Petersburg Exchange (SPE), where prices for Russian oil and natural gas will be set in rubles instead of US dollars.
