America has one of the best military forces and intelligence in the world. Our men and women in uniform make us powerful, strong and effective. From enlisted to the officer corps, every man and woman is part of an organization dedicated to the mission of success. Today there are over 12 million working age veterans with talent, drive, intelligence, education and loyalty, ready to move our nation’s businesses forward.
In today’s competitive global market, America’s businesses have the unique opportunity to become stronger by attracting mission-minded veterans to their workplace.
During the month of August, The Career Brand will tackle topics that help employers and veterans form long term partnerships for success. Topics will include:
Understanding the veteran’s mindset
Resources available to companies and veterans for attracting and developing talent
Fireside chats with veterans regarding successes and challenges in the workplace
Resources for veterans interested in entrepreneurship
This week’s episode, “Making the Connection, Your SOP for Business Success” features special guest Patrick E Alcorn, Veteran Business Consultant with the Texas Veterans Commission Veteran Entrepreneur Program.
PROGRAM TIME: 8AM-10AM EST
After reading the entire so-called Iran Deal (ObamaDeal) I find it to be very sour. So many questions, so few answers. So few restrictions, so many ways to side step them. Join me as we look at what is in the deal and what is not in the deal. Let's identify who really supports the deal and opposes the deal. Surely President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry are playing a belated April Fools Day joke.

In a perfect world, there would will be no single moms. At least I wouldn’t have been one.Prior to me getting married 14 years ago, I was a single mom of two. To be honest, after everything I went through, I was happy to be a single mom. I won’t sit here and pretend that I didn’t need any help, or didn’t feel overwhelmed at times. Many women step into being single moms based on their own decisions and choices, while others have no choice; they have to do what’s in the best interest of the child.
When any relationship goes sour, emotions run high. If there are joint children involved, things tend to get even more heated. It is understandably tough to put the children's interests first. After all, you are hurting because of the loss of the relationship, but placing the children's needs above your own is absolutely essential for establishing positive co-parenting groundwork.
Join Pastor Teresa and Evan. Houston as they facilitate dialogue that will create thought provoking questions and provide tools for Single Moms on "How to Successful Deal with My Children's Father After the Relationship is Over"
What if I have unresolved feelings for him?
How do I trust him alone with my child?
How do I handle if he's in and out of relationships?
What if he is not consistent if my child's life?

The disease of a downcast face. You see this disease in those glum and sour persons who think that to be serious you have to put on a face of melancholy and severity, and treat others—especially those we consider our inferiors—with rigor, brusqueness and arrogance. In fact, a show of severity and sterile pessimism are frequently symptoms of fear and insecurity.
