INSPIRE AND INFLUENCE WITH BRI SEELEY: SHOW #5

    GUEST: Sonnet Music

Sonnet and her all female band deliver a fresh perspective on thought provoking pop, with soaring guitar and vocals, pulsating beats and themes that connect across emotional lines making them one of LA’s most promising new bands. Lead singer and principal writer, Sonnet Simmons, is most recently known for Top 12 on ABC Rising Star. Sonnet is a household favorite, seen and heard on Overstock.com “O is the One” Campaign and “You’re So Good for Me” Coca Cola Campaign. The girls in the band come together with high musical prowess, sass, and rock n’ roll. Allee Futterer on Bass, Devon Eisenbarger on guitar, Cindy Gould on Drums, and Valerie Chaikin on Keys.

With her debut EP, Sonnet examines male and female dynamics and shares the lessons she’s learned about love, life, and relationships. Her creative doctrine, so poignantly articulated by 13-century poet, RUMI, is “You have to keep breaking your heart until it opens.”

"New Heights Show on Education" The Life of William Shakespeare

    in Education

This week will be a special episode dedicated to the greatest playwriter, William Shakespeare and his mysterious life.

    The Playwright Romantic: William Shakespeare

Known as the greatest poet and playwrighter that ever lived,
William Shakespeare lived in United Kingdom full of wit.
Born on April 23, 1564, the date believed to be,
Most historians cite his life as a great mystery.

He lived in a large home with his older brothers and sisters
Where he initially found his golden, dramatic writing key.
At first glance a poet, yet expanding to plays,
Shakespeare wrote Romeo & Juliet, Hamlet, and Henry the 8th.

Because of his works and contributions to theater,
Shakespeare was nicknamed Bard of Avon and The Bard.
His plays filled with emotions, conflict, and love
His works have long captured the hearts of all doves.

"Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?" or sonnet eighteen,
Describes the eternal beauty of his love, creating a beautiful scene.
It compares her long lasting beauty to a short summer day,
Allowing us to picture her gleaming in the sun,
Away from the rest of world's gloomy dark bay.

Unfortunately to the world of prose a light dimmed shut,
When Shakespeare left the world with a hint somewhat -
His death is cited as April 23rd in 1616,
Exactly the day of his birth from down within...

The Dr. Pat Show-Talk Radio to Thrive By!

    in Entertainment

The Dr. Pat Show: Voices of Women Host Kris Steinnes and her guest Penney Peirce on Change Your Frequency, Change Your Life.

As the world is accelerating rapidly we're transforming, becoming 'ultrasensitive' and 'empathic' and we're often overwhelmed by proverbial 'energy information' coming from the world around us. Learn to manage your own energy state and shift your vibration to match what's happening in the world. This moves you out of stuckness and guides you toward your destiny, the life you're truly built for. Shifting your frequency can change depression to peace, overwhelm to useful knowledge, confusion to clarity, and fear to enthusiasm. You have a choice about the way you feel and what you want your life to be like.

The Dr. Pat Show: Psychic World with John G. Sutton and Countess Starella: The Power of Poetry.  There is perhaps one subject that most poets at some time attempt to capture in the essence of a poem and that subject is love. William Shakespeare the great British dramatist wrote numerous sonnets that touch upon the meaning of love and how it overcomes all obstacles, including time. Consider Sonnet 18: Shall I compare thee to a summer's day, thou art more temperate and more lovely etc. In those few lines Shakespeare is comparing physical beauty to the glories of nature. As a test of his prowess as a poet consider this, the love sonnets of William Shakespeare are popular to this day so they obviously did what he intended, capturing the message that love is eternal. John G Sutton is a published poet and will be discussing the power of poetry to encapsulate the otherwise intangible emotion that we call love. John will be taking your calls and invites you to talk to him about poetry, love or any aspect of your life that he may be able to help you with using his personal psychic power of clairvoyance.
