To celebrate the holidays, Milling About joins the cast of Elf, now playing at The Papermill Playhouse. Based on the film, it's a musical about Buddy, an oprhan who was left on Santa's doorstep in the North Pole and raised by elves. All grown up, he returns to earth to discover his true identity; and in the process learns much more about love and family.
Host Robin Milling asks James Moye (Buddy), Heidi Blickenstaff (Emily Hobbs), Robert Cuccioli (Walter Hobbs), Jake Faragalli (Michael), Kate Fahrner (Jovie), Paul C. Vogt (Santa) and Matthew Sklar (Composer) about five things they couldn't live without if they traveled from earth to the North Pole and their fondest Christmas memories.

Life is constantly changing - so why would you remain a constant? To keep evolving, we have to keep moving. The more we are willing to do something new, the more relevant we remain. So many of us are comfortable with the Status Quo which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it could limit you. In tonight's show - we want to look at why we find it difficult to start something new, and how we can get over the hinderance, and then discuss the advantages of eventually overcoming stagnation.
This week Jennifer co-creates with Phyllis Walsh by hearing about her newly released book, The Illusion of Mortality. Phyllis wrote this book after receiving a number of communications, after the tragic passing of her husband Owen, in 2006. Phyllis was left to bring up her two children who were then aged 3 and 9. Phyllis explains to us in this interview, about her feelings of despair but also how this experience over the course of time, turned into a journey of spiritual exploration.
Phyllis was raised within the Catholic Church and as a child she never questioned her religion. The book is not religious in essence but it does explore spirituality, along with Phyllis' own research into the "paranormal". On reflection, she has found her experiences to be unusual but in someway very comforting and she wants to reach out to others with this book to help them come through their grief in the belief that our soul is eternal.
This is a brilliant and interesting interview so please make time to listen. It will help so many to her Phyllis' words particularly at this time of year.
