Hemant Elhence, Founder & CEO of Synerzip, will discuss tips and best practices for effectively leveraging offshore/India based software development for fast growing technology companies.
While there is a compelling economic argument to be made for for leveraging offshore/India based software talent, there is significant friction and risk involved. In this discussion, we will share key best practices to reduce or eliminate those friction and risk elements.
Hemant says, "Global Product Management Talk is a wonderful community of practitioners to exchange ideas and best practices. This exchange of ideas really helps push the state of practice of software product management."

I’ve been involved with software development for many years and very rarely have I ever seen “agile” process methodology work out. Could this be because of the nature of the software development projects I tend to specialize in or is it just that none of the product teams I have worked with understood agile methodology properly? In other words, are there some software projects where agile methodology will never work due to the very nature of what the software is?

Tracing the World's Food Supply with NFC Smart Phones
We will develop the software and services needed to simplify the automation of tracking a supply chain from point of origin to the moment of consumption
Traceability. This is a key word in the world-wide effort of ensuring the food we are eating is fresh, safe, and supplied by reputable farms. When we know where our food is coming from, we can keep the farmer and supply chain accountable to meet or exceed governmental standards against substandard crops and food borne diseases.
And what happens when a pathogen is found in our supply? With traceability, we will know which products to pull, which supply chain to check, and which farms to address.
Some traceability exists today but new regulations are taking effect that are pushing the supply chains toward a more granular understanding of where our food comes from and where it is going.
