Excerpts from his website:
On Our Representatives: "The people of Michigan and these United States, are uncomfortable with the decision making process on their behalf...being a public servant is an honor, not a reward."
Parental Rights: "The 14th Amendment clearly defines the roll of parents.Parental questioning and decision making is the right of the parent. In regard to medical treatment, education, and socialization, these are the rights of parents also guaranteed in the 1st Amendment. You may question the upbringing of a child, but this does not require a CPS home investigation. Obvious abuse, yes. But to question cultural differences is an attack on our constitution. Cultural differences are to be respected, outside of harmful physical attack. Discipline is not abuse. Not to discipline is abuse. Immorality, irresponsibility, and aggressive abuse are reasonable cause for concern.

How To Teach & Talk To Your Children About Violent Video Games Dr. Wendy James joins Joe to discuss.
Violence is not just a game, as suggested in a video game scenario. Lines between reality and fantasy become blurred. Isolation is also a factor. Children, and people in general, need socialization. It keeps them connected to reality where sometimes you're accepted, sometimes you're rejected. In all cases, you need to learn to deal with it. Dr. Wendy James talks more about the implications of video games on our children and society. Tune in!
Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately?
There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective.
Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting.
But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree!
If you’ve always wondered how the “other side” thinks and how they’ve arrived at their “stand”, then this is the show for you!
It’s not the right side, it’s not the wrong side, but the REAL side of the issues!

“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that 1 in 68 children (or 14.7 per 1,000 eight-year-olds) in multiple communities in the United States has been identified with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This new estimate is roughly 30 percent higher than previous estimates reported in 2012 of 1 in 88 children (11.3 per 1,000 eight year olds) being identified with an autism spectrum disorder. The number of children identified with ASD ranged from 1 in 175 children in Alabama to 1 in 45 children in New Jersey” (4/27/2014 press release).
Autism Speaks, a not for profit advocacy organization, devoted to understanding autism from all perspectives (research, treatment, effects on family) has made contributions to the understanding of ASD which greatly enhance the lives of those living with ASD, their families and communities.
Dr. Paul Wang, SVP Autism Speaks and head of medical research, will talk with us about the 2013 Top Ten Advances in Autism Research winners as identified by Autism Speaks.
It should be emphasized that the earlier a child is diagnosed with ASD and receives therapeutic services, his/her life chances for education, employment, and overall socialization dramatically increase.
Dr. Paul Wang joined Autism Speaks in September 2013 as the organization’s senior vice president and head of medical research.
Dr. Wang graduated from Harvard College with a bachelor of arts in biomedical sciences and received his medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine. He completed a residency and chief residency in pediatrics at the University of Michigan, a research fellowship at the Salk Institute and a clinical fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
Being a hippie is not a matter of dress, behavior, economic status, or social milieu. It is a philosophical approach to life that emphasizes freedom, peace, love and a respect for others and the earth. The way of the hippie never died. There have always been hippies from the first time society laid down rules, to Jesus, to Henry David Thoreau, to John Lennon, to you. There’s a little hippy in all of us. It’s just been repressed by our socialization process. We need to find it and cultivate our hippie within. Only then can we reach our true potential.

Tonight's guest is Ginger Kathrens, Director of The Cloud Foundation. On March 24, The Cloud Foundation received an anonymous tip that BLM had rounded up and removed 41 free-roaming horses from public lands in northern Wyoming. Further investigation revealed that BLM conducted a helicopter roundup of the horses and turned them over to the Wyoming Livestock Board who sold the horses directly to the Canadian Bouvry Slaughterouse. The taxpayer-funded roundup was conducted with no notice of sale after the horses were impounded, giving no one the opportunity to step in and negotiate a deal to purchase any of the horses. Even Bighorn County Sheriff, Kenneth Blackburn, was surprised that he received no notification of the roundup, which was conducted in his jurisdiction. The horses were driven to Shelby, Montana, to the Bouvry-owned feedlot, the jumping off point to their Canadian slaughterhouse, the largest slaughterhouse in Canada.
All but four foals were sold to a Canadian slaughterhouse. The foals were purchased from Worland Livestock Auction by Kim Michels. The Cloud Foundation transported these foals, all between 3 and 12 weeks old, to Colorado where they are now under the expert care of Dr. Lisa Jacobson, DVM. They require special nutrition and socialization as they acclimate to their new environment.
The foals, known as the Dry Creek Quartet, are:
