Shalom everyone this evening we will be discussing social indoctrination. in·doc·tri·nate is to teach (a person or group) to accept a set of beliefs uncritically. It is the process of inculcating ideas, attitudes, cognitive strategies or a professional methodology (see doctrine). It is often distinguished from education by the fact that the indoctrinated person is expected not to question or critically examine the doctrine they have learned. As such the term may be used pejoratively, often in the context of education, political opinions, theology, religious dogma or anti-religious convictions. The term is closely linked to socialization; in common discourse, indoctrination is often associated with negative connontations, while socialization refers to cultural or educational learning. We must acknowledge and accept that the older generations where assimilated and passed down the techniques of indoctrination possibly without even knowing it because they/we where only doing what was familiar to us because of our own indoctrination.
Democracy versus Justice?, using words to reveal truth in order to produce justice and correctness in all aareas of people activity including economics, education, entertainment, labor, law, politics, sex and war. The matter somettimes referred to as the 'Race' problem, is the original, basic initial 'unfinished business' among people of the known univerise.
If you do not understand Functional Racism which is White Supremacy, what it is and how it works, everything else you understand will only confuse you. Justice will be a better system than what we have. Justice meaning no one mistreated, 'Black people' or 'White people' and who needs help the most receives the most constructive help in all areas of people activity in society.
My name is Lori Purdy Faitel and I am a Traumatic Brain Injury Survivor. And I am your host for THE SCIENCE OF HAPPINESS.I suffered a TBI many years ago, when I was 24 years old. As I speak to you I am 52 years old and very happy to share my age. Like many of us survivors of brain injury; I was clinically dead 3 times so…. it is proper to tell that I almost did not live to be 25, which makes being over 50 a blessing!
Back in the day, everything in my life was a dream come true. I was almost 25 years old, had a recent promotion in business which inspired me with dreams for my future, and I was attending college at night, I had recently moved out of my parents home for the first time, I had many friends and I was on the fast track to a future with the man I had been in love with for about 5 years. THEN on a beautiful sunny spring morning as I drove on the freeway to my job a construction truck dropped bales of hay onto my windshield causing me to lose control of my car, spinning off the road and into cement construction material. From that point forward my dreams were taken away. I was diagnosed with a TBI, in a mild coma for 7 days and it took about 6 years of therapy and extensive study before I was able to function like an adult again. I understand that the world is not filled with happiness; But for an hour or so lets concentrate on things that help to create happiness.
I am happy to have an interesting guest Wednesday night 8PM Eastern Time. Bethany is a TBI survivor who was undiagnosed for many months. After diagnosis and contact with other survivors she is on her way to a newer and happy life.
