Packers Therapy #248: Packers Buc Tampa

    in Football

The Packers did what they had to do in dispatching Tampa Bay, so Chris and Dave spend most of the podcast talking about what lies ahead for Green Bay. The duo lament the short-term thinking spreading around the media that somehow Aaron Rodgers is playing himself out of the MVP, then focus on the Lions game and how the post-season might take shape for the playoff-bound Packers.

    ----------------

Posting its first show in 2005, Packers Therapy is the longest-running Packers podcast on the Internet. Hosts Chris and Dave began the show as a way of capturing the spirited chats the two co-workers had about the team around the office. The two have no pretense about being experts: they are just two opinionated shareholders who love the team, follow it closely, but don't always see the Packers fortunes eye to eye.

The guys encourage comments and questions via their Twitter feed @PackersTherapy and read and respond to as many as they can during each show.

Packers Therapy #247: Packers Eat Buffalo Chips

    in Football

Well, Packers fans, we were due a stinker, and we got it. Chris and Dave weren't pleased either, lamenting an out-of-sync offense and speculating on what was up with Aaron Rodgers. The duo was pleased with the defensive effort, judging it good enough to win, but acknowledge that it was easy to look good against a flaccid Bills offense.

They'll break down the Packers' Sunday playoff win, led by the quasi-one-legged Aaron Rodgers who recovered from a sluggish first half performance to lead the Packers to victory. The Packers were assisted by the now-famous Dez Bryant catch that really wasn't, which your hosts will analyzed from various perspectives.

Next, the guys will look ahead to the Packers' difficult matchup this weekend with the Seattle Seahawks. The winner advances to the Super Bowl and your hosts will analyze what the Packers will need to do to make that happen.

Packers Therapy #250: The Bye Polar Episode

    in Football

Chris and Dave use the upcoming Packers-Cowboys playoff game as a vehicle to shamelessly congratulate each other on posting a quarter of a thousand podcasts. Dave sees a double digit Green Bay win...Chris sees drug testing in Dave's future. The duo also sets the betting lines for the game. The second half of the podcast is even more self-indulgent than usual, as the fellas recount the Top Ten Packers moments of the year and talk about their favorites in pop culture for 2014.

"After further review...." A recap of the Cowboys vs. Packers Divisional Game

    in Sports

In this episode of The Red Light Sports Ramble, presented by The Red Light Sports Network, Evan Witalison and Troy Otradovec will take you from beginning to end, of the NFC Divisional Round playoff game, between the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys.  The Packers defeated the Cowboys, 26-21, to advance to the NFC Championship game.  They will face the Seattle Seahawks, to see who will represent the NFC, in the Super Bowl.

Since the home opener, the Packers had never trailed, in a game.  That changed on Sunday; however, they were not trailing when it mattered most.  Behind the running of DeMarco Murray, and some pressure, on a limited Aaron Rodgers, the Cowboys led 21-20.  The running game, of the cowboys, allowed Tony Romo to use play action, and complete 15 of 19 passes, for 191 yards and two touchdowns.  The cowboys defense was holding up well against Rodgers, until the fourth quarter.  Rodgers moved up, in the pocket just enough to fire a bullet; to Richard Rodgers, for a 13 yard touchdown.  Tony Romo led the Cowboys down the field, but the Packers defense held tough when they reached the 40 yard line.  On a fourth down, Romo lofted a pass to Dez Bryant, that was ruled a catch on the field.  This catch would have given the Cowboys a first and goal, at the one yard line.  Mike McCarthy decided to challenge, the catch.  He had not one a challenge all year, but seemed confident, as he tossed the red flag.  As the referee trotted back, on the field, to make the call, fans waited in anticipation.  The catch was ruled an incomplete pass, because Bryant had not made a full football move, and maintained control of the ball, when going to the ground.  Lambeau field erupted, while the Cowboys sideline was stunned.  The Packers took over, and never gave the ball back, to the Cowboys.

Listen in and call the show, with your thoughts, on the game.
