Repentance is the Key: Preacher's Daughters

    in Religion

The Holy Bible instructs us to “Train up a child in the way that he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it”. But when a child “DOES” go astray, who or what is to blame? This is a question heavily pondered on the new Lifetime reality TV program “Preachers Daughters”. This program chronicles the lives of several preachers, pastors and spiritual leaders and their unsuccessful attempt to raise daughters in their respective faiths. Also profiled are their blatantly rebellious daughters who are all too eager to flaunt their lifestyle of drug use, underage drinking, lewdness, lasciviousness and fornication. But in a world where temptation is quite literally at our fingertips, is it realistic to ask our children to abstain sin? And at a time when children are encouraged to embrace their own individuality, is it still an acceptable practice for a parent to impose their religious views onto the child? Join us today for another installment of “Repentance is the Key” as we use the teachings of the Holy Bible to answer these and many more questions - reproving the children of a wicked and perverse generation!

We air programs on Blog Talk Radio at the following times: Sun 2:00pm, Mon 8:00pm, Tue 8:00pm, Wed 7:00pm, Thur 8:00pm, Fri 7:00pm & Sat 9:00am.  All times are Eastern Standard Time.

John 3:14-21New King James Version (NKJV)

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but[a]have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

The Selma blood was shed for racial hatred not a forerunner to gay rights

    in Culture

People died because they were of an ethnicity people did not like.  They were battered and beaten.  Emancipation took over 200 years and is still in progress.  This is not a gay rights platform, the 50th anniversary of Selma, nor it should be.  Bishop Sam Green of the 12th District of the AME church paralleled suffering and remembrance through the history of Jesus.  Andrew Young, long time civil rights activist tried to use the green and global color symbols of the new blend of diversity struggles.  Only one message held true and that was of Bishop Green.    People like Tamir Rice and his death should have been commemorated, not gay civil rights struggles.

Dr Jamal Bryant Love It Or Leave It

    in Christianity

Dr Jamal Bryant preaching Love It or Leave It, he talks about love being a many splendid thing and the love of money.

Bryant was born to Bishop John Richard Bryant and Rev. Cecilia Williams-Bryant in Cambridge, MA while Bishop Bryant (at the time Rev. John Bryant) was the pastor at St. Paul AME Church. While growing up, Bryant saw the influence and dissected the messages his mother and father delivered each time they stepped in the pulpit. When his father was elected bishop in the African Methodist Episcopal Church the summer of 1988, the family spent time in Africa for their first assignment. The time spent in Africa helped change and prepare Bryant for his call to the ministry in the church.

Bryant dropped out of high school after the 11th grade but later obtained a GED to further his education. He holds a BA degree in Political Science and International Studies from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia and earned a MA of Divinity degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Jesus Predicts His Death and Resurrection

31 And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. 32 He spoke this word openly. Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. 33 But when He had turned around and looked at His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, “Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

Take Up the Cross and Follow Him

34 When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. 36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”

Saving Families and Getting Families Saved: Special Guest Carlos Johnson

    in Entrepreneur

Minister Carlos Johnson initially answered his call to ministry in 1991 by working with the youth at Oak Grove AME Church under the guidance and training of Bishop Gregory Ingram. As he grew to develop an even greater hunger for learning and understanding the ways of God he was later led to pursue further study and training under the leadership of Pastor Emory Moss at Strictly Biblical Bible Teaching Ministry.

Later in 2005 he was officially ordained by Pastor Christopher Brooks at Evangel Ministries as Director of the Family and the Master’s Men ministry. A ministry set on restoring and reviving the blue print and role of men in the family.

As he grew closer to God, he was empowered and inspired to minister to families in a greater way so:

he created the family curriculum titled God’s Prosperous Family
finished his second book titled “The Pains & Joys of Raising Boys"
and launched his family ministry- Back-2-The Family Ministries whose mission is:
Saving Families and Getting Families Saved.

He is a faithfully dedicated husband and father, a good steward to his church as well as the people of God he serves. As he continues the fight for restoration and renewal in families, he believes with a passion:

The strength and weakness of any organization,
be it corporation, community, church or country
is directly related to the strengths and weaknesses
of the families that belong to it.

So as God leads him he’ll continue his mission of
