It started in 2009 when three good friends unknowingly would be recording the first album in the Farmageddon Records catalogue, Jayke Orvis "It's All Been Said" Darren D, owner of Farmageddon Records, and friend Johnny Lawless took a road trip to Pittsburgh to visit Jayke Orvis, after a night of hanging out, Darren approached Jayke about recording a solo album. At that point in time, Jayke had just parted ways with The .357 String Band, and had also joined forces with the Goddamn Gallows. Darren had faith in Jayke though, he knew that he was sitting on a pile of great songs that might have just wound up in a shoebox in a closet somewhere if something wasn't initiated. I decided to live a man, rather than a slave.
According to Stacy Swimp, if we, like Frederick Douglass, make up our mind to go as a man and not a slave, the only permanent boundaries around us are those we place ourselves. It doesn’t matter what obstacles we are born into or mistakes we've made.
Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately? There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective. Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting. But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree! If you’ve always wondered how the “other side” thinks and how they’ve arrived at their “stand”, then this is the show for you!
