  • Adonis “Superman” Stevenson vs Dmitry “The Hunter” Sukhotsky Review

    in Sports

Adonis Stevenson (25-1, KOs 21) fought a very measured fight in the early stages of the fight, but managed to score a devastating knockout victory against Dmitry Sukhotsky (22-3, KOs 16).

Stevenson being a natural counterpuncher, waited for opportunities for Sukhotsky to open up, but since Sukhotsky remained very conservative, the pace of the bout was very leisurely in the early rounds. Despite the slow pace of the fight, Stevenson managed to score a knockdown in the 2nd round with a solid left hand in in the closing seconds of the round. In a special Saturday edition of Showtime Boxing on ShoExtreme, Jesus Cuellar took on Ruben Tamayo in the main event of a quadruple header made up of mostly Al Haymon fighters, live from the Little Creek Casino Resort in Shelton, Washington.

The Argentine Cuellar, coming off his destruction win over Juan Manuel Lopez, entered the fight looking to make a third successful defense of his interim WBA featherweight title against Tamayo, who came into the fight with two wins in 2014.

The slugger Cuellar started the fight with an intense pace and pushed the action. Tamayo, the boxer in the fight, tried countering from the start but had trouble keeping Cuellar from closing the distance and remaining in his range. Conversations with Trent - "Dinning for 1?"

    in Radio

Dining for one saves time and money. Ladies, when you walk into a restaurant and see a man dining alone, what’s the first thought that comes to mind? After my divorce I dined alone for years at my favorite restaurant J. Alexander’s in Michigan and also in Houston after moving there. My favorite moments were when I had time to reflect and think.

Fellas if you’re always out on a date with a woman; how will you ever know yourself ? It’s a distraction when going through the “self discovery” season of life. Here is the up side to dining alone: Women from across the room desperately try to make eye contact with you hoping you’ll approach them to say hello. Secure confident men will give her a pass knowing he’s in “self discovery mode.” Many times I wonder…

” What are ladies thinking as they sit for happy hour? “

I would wave and gently smile walking by headed out of the restaurant all while thinking…

“Ladies you have just been given a pass; because I’m not too far removed from the man I use to be.” Fellas be EPIC and know you don’t have to stop and talk to every beautiful face in the room when you’re in “self discovery mode.” Stay encouraged.

Tune in tonight at 6PM (CST) / 7PM (EST) as we discuss "Dinning for 1?"

    LIVE! with Cathi---Holiday Lasting Memories

    in Fitness

"Backward turn backward O time in your flight, make me a child again just for tonight!'

In my mind's eye, I see it so clearly.  Christmas was always a festive holiday while growing up.  Pa Paun, my father always got up at 4:30 a.m. to start the furnace and Ma Paun, my  mothers would get up shortly after Pa and begin her Christmas Baking...bread, jelly doughnuts, strudel cakes and I would be in the dining room playing with my cut-out dolls.  Ah, the aroma, the fragrance, the memories.

Many of us have lasting memories from our childhood holidays.  Many memories are tied to traditions that get passed down for generations and the mere practice today stirs emotions.

According to the experts, memories are cemented not because of WHAT we do but HOW we do it.  It's about how we share experiences together.

    STAY TUNED...

    Family togetherness...etc.

    Holiday ritual...etc.

    Repetition of an activity...etc.
