Life Challenge #2 with Donald Mills
Mentorship. Last week, we found a reason to celebrate. This week, we want to figure out who we are, what we want out of life and how are we going to get it! We started life admiring someone-the parental figures in our lives, and then we had our role models. We took a little bit of this and a little bit of that and developed our personalities and styles. Now, we are the role models and folk want to learn from us. But for us to take our lives to the next level so that we are in a position to give something back, we may have to take two steps backwards. For the better or worse, we have to remember how we got to where we are in life. We have to remember what we wanted, did we get it, and know, what we want now. We have to remember what happened in our lives that resulted in our feeling happy or sad and know how we feel now. Life Challengers, you are the mentors? Folk look to learn from you. They want to be like you. How do you help them live fuller and more satisfying lives and what are you doing for yourself to live a fuller and more satisfying life. Time to take inventory of yourself!

Lots of Credit Unions and Credit Union professionals talk about doing things, but Capital Credit Union is actually doing them. Join us as we visit with Cindi Witt of Capital Credit Union in Kimberly, Wisconsin. Cindi will be telling us about the Financial Challenge Bowl; what it is and why kids are talking about the credit union on campus. You could read another white paper, click on another link or you can hear from a CU professional that is helping her Credit Union intentionally engage and educate Generation Next.

Today on "It's My House" we shall discuss the "High Finance" principle of "Tithing". Tithing to some is a very controversial subject. Some people say that it does not work, while others swear by it and the act of giving "tithes and offersings" is a way of life.
We shall discuss the following topics:
What is the Tithe ?
What is an Offering ?
Paying yourself first.
The 90 Day High Finance Challenge.

Just what are we responsible for and what are we not responsible for. Friends and family have certain expectations they feel we must fulfill. Who can tell us what we are responsible for to help us avoid the price of false responsibility. Many go through life feeling responsible for things they really should not feel burdened by.
It's so clear that the way we think directly impacts our lives. Join us as we share insights that help us understand God, change our conciousness and our concepts about who we really are!
Having been in the preaching ministry since a pre-teen, I've learned quite a lot and have matured even more since then. I have come to discover that young ministers (not just young in age) find it difficult to maintain a healthy spiritual, social, and educational life. I have privilege of serving as a ministry trainer now and have suggestions to those who are young in ministry or on the edge of being burned out in ministry. They are: Challenge Yourself, Question Yourself, and Respect Yourself. I'll be breaking all of those down on today's show so feel free to join in the discussion.
