    in Dads and Family

We often hear of the joys and struggles of parenting and raising children from a mother's point of view but when is the last time you heard about this from a father's perspective? Especially a single dads. Whether in a full or part-time (custodial) position of raising their children men are often left out of the dialogue by choice or design and their experiences are often left untold. This should not be the case. Let's talk about it!  Join me and my guests David A. Veney and Winfred Burns II for this often overlooked discussion topic.

David A. Veney is a motivational speaker, author, lecturer, teacher, youth and family advocate, and most importantly is the proud father of two beautiful daughters, Tyra and Azariah.

Winfred Burns II is the CEO of Global Drive Network and is the proud dad of a rambunctious 3 year old son.

I was born in Long Island.I grew up in 718 Queens and Brooklyn. I served in the military during Desert Storm. Ive love and visited Europe . I am a very sincere, real and loyal friend. I love my family and friends fiercely and can not begin to express how blessed I am for having them in my life.My intentions are authentic and I am always looking to grow and learn new things.I have a close relationship with my higher power and make the effort to see others potential and divinity.I give wholeheartedly and like to keep a positive attitude towards others and life.I recently had my first child and am raising him alone and look forward to my duty as a mother. I would one day like to get married and have another child, I never knew how much joy I would find in being a mother, I waited a long time to have a child, and under circumstances I am glad I have him. He is everything to me. He makes me look good being a mother. Its one of the best things I could ever ask for.God out did himself when he made my son Gabriel.I am so very grateful
