Tonight Pop Art Painter Jamie Roxx (www.JamieRoxx.us) welcomes Country Singer/Songwriter Kayla Calabrese to the show!
Down-to-earth act Kayla Calabrese brings her ambitious Jersey-girl attitude and romantic Italian soul to country music. At age 16, Kayla’s go-getter spirit showed through as she decided to trade in the hair brush for a real microphone, quickly making her dreams a reality a year later by taking voice lessons. After moving to Nashville, TN a few years later, Kayla began recording, releasing her first singe, “Kiss Me,” produced by Kent Wells (Dolly Parton), to country radio along with her self-titled EP. Pleased by the success, she released her latest charting single, “Give,” produced by Jimmy Nichols at Reba McEntire's Starstruck Studios, to Music Row (#47). Now, she has officially released her newest single, "Happily Never After,” on radio and iTunes now.
Singer and songwriter Chanté Moore,
Moore made her recording debut on Silas/MCA in 1992 with the release of the Gold-selling Precious (“Love's Taken Over” and “It’s Alright”). A Love Supreme (“Old School Lovin’”) came in 1994, followed by her Grammy nominated This Moment Is Mine (Gold-selling single “Chanté’s Got A Man,” written for then husband and actor Kadeem Hardison).
With seven albums, twenty charting singles and collaborations with everyone from Prince, R. Kelly, Boyz II Men and El Debarge to The Isley Brothers, Babyface and Raphael Saddiq, singer Chanté Moore was destined to sing. In fact, in French, her name literally means “to sing.” The Grammy nominated, American Music Award and NAACP Award-winning singer’s distinctive vocals have been featured in films like Waiting To Exhale, Beverly Hills Cop III, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, Romeo Must Die and Big Momma’s House. No stranger to the silver screen or stage, Ms. Moore has starred in theatrical productions alongside such lauded talent as Loretta Divine and Tisha Campbell-Martin, as well as fellow vocal powerhouses Vickie Winans and Dave Hollister.
Moore is recently starred in the highly rated TV One reality show spin-off, R&B Diva’ L.A., which premiered on July 10, 2013 on TV One, breaking records for its high viewership. The first season follows the lives and careers of Moore as well as Kelly Price, Lil' Mo, Claudette Ortiz, Michel'le and Dawn Robinson. Season 2 replaces Kelly Price and Dawn Robinson with Lela James and Chrisette Michelle. Season 2 premiere aired July 2014 and Season 3 premiered February 2015 through May 2015.

“We had it all, just like Bogie and Bacall,” is the lyric that touched hearts and imaginations and allowed us to sail away to Key Largo. The songwriter? Bertie Higgins, whose Key Largo blew a hole in the U.S. charts when it reached number one in the nation, and went on to become an international hit. For Higgins, it was only the beginning. Wednesday, March 16, 3 pm ET Bertie Higgins joins Halli at her table on The Halli Casser-Jayne Show. Come sail away.
Like his great, great grandfather, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the German poet who penned "Faust", Bertie Higgins is a storyteller. Bertie, who once supported himself as a sponge diver, began his career in show business at the age of twelve as a ventriloquist. But music was in his heart and he became drummer for the Tommy Roe band, The Roemans. He toured the world alongside the Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, Tom Jones, Roy Orbison, Manfred Mann, Peter and Gordon, The Dave Clark Five and many more. Tiring of the rigors of the road and yearning to make his own musical statement, Bertie left The Roemans, put down his drumsticks, picked up a guitar and began crafting music and lyrics. The rest, as they say is history.
Trop rock, yacht rock, romance, Key Largo, sail away with Halli and her guest, singer/songwriter, musician Bertie Higgins for an hour of romance and reminiscing on The Halli Casser-Jayne Show, Wednesday, March 16, 3 pm ET. For more about the show visit Halli Casser-Jayne.com.
