US Vets turned Hit Country Band: The Gillis Silo

    in Country Music

Formed in the mountains of northern Afghanistan, The Gillis Silo evolved from the friendship of classically trained piano player Ben Vige and life-long Singer/Songwriter Caleb Paul who met in the United States Army and served overseas together in Kabul from 2012-2013. Ben and Caleb called upon accomplished and experienced Baton Rouge musicians Jordan Snyder, Jared Daigle, and Karl Boudreaux upon their return home to carefully construct their alternative rock infused country sound.

Since the band's first performance in January 2014, The Gillis Silo has made waves throughout the U.S. with their own brand of music that fans have dubbed "Country on the Rocks". They have had the privilege of sharing the stage with Florida Georgia Line, Eli Young Band, Trace Adkins, Aaron Lewis, Jana Kramer, and Chris Young, and they have an upcoming concert with Easton Corbin in August.

Their single, She's My Hurricane, is in rotation in major radio markets throughout the South and their debut music video was recently picked up by CMT.

In July 2014, The Gillis Silo performed at Country Explosion in Tooele, Utah. They have played iconic venues throughout the South including The Varsity Theatre, The Howlin' Wolf, The Shed BBQ & Blues Joint, Hard Rock Cafe, and the House of Blues.

Their much anticipated debut EP is set for release late summer 2014.

The Gillis Silo proudly endorses and is sponsored by Pearl Drums, Spector Basses, Warmoth Guitars, and Soxfords.

Lisa owns her own company, Lisa C. Wadsworth Inc. A business focused on coaching and education for the entire dental team on oral-systemic health, periodontal treatment protocol, Implant dentistry, and ergonomics.

Which meetings are the meetings you should attend?

    in Health

There are a number of ways to spend your money on Continuing Education and networking. Why do you need to network? So you can practice at the highest possible level. Patients need to know that too. Which ones should you attend? I think you’ll be surprised at the list I’ll be recommending. The silo care of delivery should die a swift death.

Are you a patient? Let me know if you'd like to have other topics that fit your questions better.

    Jordan Shlain MD Founder HealthLoop

    in Health

On the Wednesday, March 19th, 2014 broadcast at 10AM Pacific/1PM Eastern my very special guest is Dr. Jordan Shlain (@DrShlain), the founder of Healthloop (@Healthloop)  '..a cloud-based platform that automates follow-up care; keeping doctors, patients and care-givers connected between visits with clinical information that is insightful, actionable, and engaging.'

Earlier I caught up with Dr. Shlain at the 2013 mHealth Summit. For the interview click here.

Dr. Shlain is a fixture at many digital health or emerging business model conferences focused in the disruption of silo-ed American ‘sickcare.’ He is the tireless warrior and ‘a pioneer in digital physician-and-patient-engagement’.

When Dr. Shlain talks people listen, and recently from the stage at the mHealth 2012 Summit he announced a $10 million Series-A investment in HealthLoop led by Canvas Venture Fund, an early-stage venture fund managed by the Morgenthaler Technology Investment Company.

In this exchange we learn more about the company including the marketplace pain inspiring it’s launch, and the innovative remedies unique to the HealthLoop platform. Among many intriguing observations, Dr. Shlain points out that the problem in healthcare is ‘..we have no healthcare ecosystem, but a freak-o-system’ of misaligned and silo-ed healthcare stakeholders with little incentive to co-operate. This is a great chat, do yourself a favor listen to the entire clip.

    in Politics

The Sack Heads go after it again tonight; preserving liberty through insight and potty humor!  We discuss the potential civil war brewing within the Republican Party, the abominable Snowden, and that Governor of New Jersey. The highlight of the show comes when the Sack Heads discuss a governmental program designed to study and effect (control) the very people it is supposed to serve and the source of its power...YOU!!!  it only gets better folks!
Welcome to the Sack Heads Radio Show! Live from The Silo (unless you're listening to the podcast, then it was recorded live, but not actually live...you get it).
Each week we rip into politics, news and current events. Has the government gone too far? Are your rights being attacked? Out of control world leaders? We got it covered.
With a sharp tongue and occasional potty humor, we strive to keep the facts straight, and pick up where Main Stream Media ignores or hides. This isn't your parent’s conservative talk show; this is the Sack Heads Radio. “Conservative Kick Ass”

    Back From Vacation!

    in Politics

The Sack Heads have moved into a new studio, dubbed "The Silo" for it's supreme awesomeness and ability to lauch scathing verbal assaults on enemies of the republic!  On this show, we discussed the Zimmerman verdict and possible federal overreach in the form of a Civil Rights case.  Also, one US Represenative (from Texas, of course) authored a brilliant piece of legislation for protection of our school children.  All this and the usual shennanigans you have come to love from us, your Sack Heads!
