The Broadway Starlet
Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, Charlotte Crossley better known as Charlo got her start singing in the choir at Metropolitan Community Church at the tender age of seven. She continued music education in elementary school learning the piano and clarinet and continued until she graduated from South Shore High School. At fifteen, she got her start in theater with roles in West Side Story and the Three Penny Opera at the Young Men's Jewish Community Center where she was encouraged by the director to audition for HAIR, The Musical: the American tribal love-rock musical by Gerome Ragni and James Rado and music by Galt McDermott's, which was opening a Chicago company. She went to an open call right after graduation and was cast. This would be the beginning of a long-term career in showbiz.
Her newfound success was bittersweet as it came with a price to pay. Charlo’s father did not want her to audition and she soon left home without his approval. She was performing eight shows a week. While it was hard work for young Charlo, but being the center of attention was second nature to the burgeoning star. She continued with the Chicago Company, traveled to Las Vegas, and ultimately went on the Tony Award-winning production’s first national tour. After moving to New York City, she joined the original Broadway cast of Jesus Christ Superstar, rock opera with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice which later won a Tony Award.
Charlo later met and toured with Bette Midler and Barry Manilow, which opened many doors that led to recording for CBS Records with the highly coveted trio of backup singers formerly known as The Harlettes with Sharon Redd and Ula Hedwig.

We will discuss the evidence from over 2200 architects and engineers showing that World Trade Center #7 was a controlled demolition. Controlled demolitions take months to plan. If this is the truth, why hasn't anyone been put in jail?
"The endless "War on Terror," massive deficit spending, radical changes in domestic and foreign policies, including curtailing the civil liberties of Americans, have been justified by the 9/11 attacks. And yet, the story put forward by the government of how the attacks unfolded without a response from our trillion dollar defense establishment contains hundreds of contradictions and outright lies. If we truly wanted to protect and defend the country, we need to know how our government failed to protect us on 9/11 in order to make effective changes to defend the country from attack."~ Mike Berger

There’s street cred, there’s Wall Street cred, there’s Hollywood cred, and then there’s Tyler Perry. In 2011, Forbes magazine dubbed him the highest-paid man in showbiz for the $130 million he earned that year, beating out such moguls as Steven Spielberg and Jerry Bruckheimer. The ranking may have come as a shock to mainstream America. But to Tyler’s legions of fans—who’s been steadily lapping up his stage plays, feature films, TV series and gospel tunes for more than a decade—it was a bit of a snoozer. “The great thing about living in a society like America is that everyone likes different things,” he tells us. “The success of For Better or Worse and The Haves and Have Nots and Love Thy Neighbor and House of Payne has been about the people.”
This is Beyond the Airwaves: The Infinity Project, where we go beyond the mainstream media and tackle issues that don't seem so important to the major networks.
