JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS...-----.....CALL to listen (347) 237-5342.
Assumptions are dangerous things to make, and like all dangerous things to make -- bombs, for instance, or strawberry shortcake -- if you make even the tiniest mistake you can find yourself in terrible trouble.
Making assumptions simply means believing things are a certain way with little or no evidence that shows you are correct, and you can see at once how this can lead to terrible trouble.
For instance, one morning you might wake up and make the assumption that your bed was in the same place that it always was, even though you would have no real evidence that this was so.
But when you got out of your bed, you might discover that it had floated out to sea, and now you would be in terrible trouble all because of the incorrect assumption that you'd made. You can see that it is better not to make too many assumptions, particularly in the morning.

A NEW interview with two of the most buzzworthy talents in our region! When last we spoke to flautist Trey and producer Matthew, they were excited at the response to their new project, "Freedom." And who else was excited? Grammy.com - that site featured a tract from the new album, featuring our friend - trumpet master, Greg Adams! "Twilight" has received its share of airplay - and now you'll hear more from this brilliant colloborative effort.
"Freedom has been described as unique and uplifting. I'll throw in soulfully satisfying and contemporary without the GOO of smooth! Creativity is at work here, and it's no surprise that Trey and Matthew are businessmen as well as artists. It shows in the project itself, and in the associations they make. Shortcake Entertainment Group is one of those, and that organization is making sure that the CD release party for "Freedom" gets first page focus: at the City Club of Washington, DC. November 1st - a Thursday. We like to call them around here "Friday A!" If you're close to the area, we invite you to attend. And support our fabulous talent - in this case, the future of Jazz - by listening to what Trey and Matthew have to say on October 25th. Showtime is 1 p.m.
