Up next will be Dan Kost with the Quad Cities Motorcycle Rally and City Tour at the Hillcrest Event Center in Orion, IL on May 23. Dan stepped up and took the reins of what had been the largest Bi-State Motorcycle Awareness Ride in the Country. This was a free riding event to not just raise motorcycle awareness but to help out the Children’s Therapy Center of the Quad Cities until the local cities started to charge huge sums of money for the police escort. Having to cover the additional expense by charging riders was a deathblow for them. Fortunately Dan had gotten involved a couple of years ago and was there to keep it from going away for good. In order to keep this Motorcycle Awareness Ride going there would have to be some changes. The parade style continuous ride was changed to a continuous ride made up of small groups, thus avoiding the high cost of the police escort. The features and amenities the Hillcrest Event Center offers made expanding the ride into a motorcycle rally an easy decision.
