Suzanne is a regular contributor to a regional glossy called Merrimack Valley Magazine, and the author of the children's illustrated story book Rumplepimple.
In previous lives she was a high-tech journalist and internet marketing business owner, but now works on writing the great American novel along with children's books and magazine feature stories. She is mildly obsessed with vintage cookbooks, recipe boxes, and the intersection of sexuality and theology. She lives blissfully in Massachusetts with her wife Diane, a cat named Chicken, and a wire fox terrier.
On Wednesday mornings you can find her date-stamping books at a tiny, independent, volunteer run library.

When the clock approaches 5:00 p.m., do you start worrying about what to have for dinner? Are you tired of using fast food as the answer? If so, try this old-school trick that's back in fashion — menu planning.
Menu planning is a great way to make sure you're eating a balanced diet and meeting your nutritional needs. And, as every frugal cook knows, menu planning can save you time and money.
Benefits of menu planning
You can have a big impact on your health — and your budget — just by eating at home more often. With menu planning you know what your meals will look like and what you need to buy. That makes grocery shopping more efficient and cuts down on unplanned trips to buy one or two items. And with a grocery list in hand — a byproduct of good menu planning — it's easier to resist impulse purchases.
Menu planning doesn't have to be complicated. To get started, jot down some of your favorite meals. Cooking for a family? Ask them to suggest menu ideas, too. For more inspiration, flip through cookbooks or check out recipe websites. You can even find sample menus and menu-planning apps online.
We will discuss how to understand, and expand, comfort zone boundaries to negotiate a successful outcome.
As usual, we will also discuss two delicious recipes for sharing. The "safe" recipe will be Chicken Stew with Dumplings, and the "adventure" recipe will be Pasta with Pesto and Salmon.

The Propelled Heart: Moving from Injury to Insight with Dr. Toni Luisa Rivera
She was a whirlwind of a doctor. The only chiropractor on a remote part of Puerto Rico, she was inundated with patients, many of whom were out of pain for the first time in years. Wanting to heal EVERYONE, she drove herself to extremes. But what really drove Dr. Toni Luisa Rivera was buried so deep that only in her 30s were the memories really starting to offer clarity--repeated sexual assaults before the age of four, a heart crushed by a mother so overwhelmed with the truth that she couldn't find it in herself to comfort her daughter and a burning desire to be of value, to prove her worthiness.
It was a recipe for disaster and it was only through listening deeply to her own body that Rivera found her way to physical, mental and emotional health. And it is this deep listening and intuitive technique that Dr. Toni offers her readers in her new book The Propelled Heart: Moving from Injury to Insight.
Part memoir, part healing guidebook, Dr. Rivera tells of her passage to insight, allowing injury to transform into the gifts she brings to the world. Dr. Toni recounts how she listened to her body's physical pain to help unlock those wounds of forgotten childhood sexual abuse, freeing her to follow an inner-driven, more deliberate, more intentional and joyful way of life, while still serving those who needed help.

We are, every one of us, in the valleys of decision, but many people let others make decisions for them, and this generation is ruled by false shepherds, wicked parents, treasonous rulers, and the spiritually blind. Has God shown to you the paths of righteousness and life? Have people in your family and church been confirming what God is telling you, or are most people in your life blind, deceived, unconcerned and spiritually blind? When God destroyed the world with the deluge most people did not believe it would end. They worked, married, raised children, and lived their normal and presumptive lives, until the day the flood came, and took them all away. But many people have made decisions that separate them from the human family, they've chosen to act as agents of terror and force, because their inner soul is filled with lust and terror. These are the demonized fascists that rail against the bands and chords of moral constraint, and they are the rebels that serve the first rebel, the devil.
