North Carolina born soul-pop singer, Molly Roth can’t help but create art on a daily basis. Starting classical piano lessons at age six, she decided to form an all-girl pop band (inspired by the Spice Girls) with her friends at her 8th birthday party. She made everyone sign contracts saying that, no matter what, they would keep making music together. When her family later moved to California, the band didn’t stay intact, but her drive and determination did. Singing and playing the piano became a solo activity for Molly.

This week on The Empowerent Show Irene Roth and Traci McDonald will be chatting about if we as adults are overscheduling our teens.
When kids and teens complain of being overscheduled and overwhelmed, we should definitely pause to take a new look at our lives and reprioritize them. Our kids are way too young to feel overscheduled. And if we, as parents, teach them that it is okay, or worse, meritorious to be busy all the time, we can be setting them up for a life time of exhaustion and lack of success. Not only that but they will feel dissatisfied and stressed out all the time.
Here are a few questions to ask yourself and your teens or kids:
What does your child enjoy? Does she/he enjoy playing sports? What kind of sport?
Does your teen enjoy music/dancing? What type does she/he enjoy?
Does your teen do extracurricular activities?
Does your child/teen feel overwhelmed at school?
The World of Ink Network brings you shows each week on topics such as books, writing, interviews, self-help, empowerment, families and much more.

Sewell, NJ – Grief can take hold of us: our belief system, our values, our perceptions. Those obstacles can prevent us from moving forward. How do you go through change and come out the other side?
According to life coach Sharon Roth-Lichtenfeld, grief can be an empowering experience if you allow it to be. Sharon is the co-founder of the Afterwards Program, which combines the healing power of therapy, with empowerment of coaching to help people move purposefully toward a new and different life. Along with her partner Pat Obst, a licensed clinical therapist, Sharon helps people create the bridge into their new and different life with meaning, purpose and resilience.
“We call it residual grief as opposed to complicated grief,” says Sharon. “Everyone else is moving on and you’re not. But you want to. That’s where Afterwards comes in.”
The mission of Afterwards is to deliver unique and innovative programming that delivers healing and self-empowerment to individuals who are 1-5 years out from a forever change, a change that alters the direction of your life forever. Forever changes can include the loss of a loved one divorce/relationship breakup, serious illness, trauma, or any other significant change.
“My life coaching model is all about sustained well-being,” says Sharon. “How do you sustain your well-being in the face of forever changes? It can rock you but it can make you stronger too. It can define you in a healthy way.”
Afterwards addresses the lack of resources available to help people get “unstuck” and emotionally transition themselves in healthy ways toward a new life.
“Afterwards can serve as the critical link from being supported through therapy to gaining the ability to flourish,” says Sharon. “I want to change the way people view life and live life after loss and forever changes.”

In 1999, Ontario Country artist Shelley Buffitt released her debut album My First Love. The acclaimed album received airplay world-wide and garnered Shelley the 1999 Nashville Tracker Magazine "Female Vocalist of the Year" (European market). Shelley was nominated at the OCMAs for Female Vocalist of the Year, as well as Album of the Year in 1999.
Riding on the success of her debut album, Executive Producers at Five Star Productions decided to release Bad Side of Town in 2000. This was a wise move as that year The Ontario Country Music Association recognized Shelley's contribution to the Canadian music scene by nominating her for Female Vocalist of the Year, Rising Star and Duet of the Year (with the multi-talented songstress, Kelly Vohnn.) The album features the musicianship of Wendell Ferguson. This same year, TVOntario filmed a documentary about Shelley and her music on their show Studio 1 with Steve Paikin.
In July 2014, Daddy’s Little Girl - a song from Shelley's album Beyond This Woman - was released to Canadian Country radio.
Tonight we continue our Methodical Illusion series with author Rebekah Roth who has taken a stand by publishing what could possibly be known as one of the most controversial books to ever be released surrounding the events of 9/11. Rebekah has discovered VITAL information that no other author, architect, engineer, or truther has even thought about looking at. As always we will be taking your phone calls during the last hour of the show and we encourage everyone to listen in.
Dear listeners: Make sure that your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright and locked position, for if we continue on the path of tyranny, we’ll be in the ground shortly.
Rebekah Roth spent 30 years working as a flight attendant and an international purser for a major U.S. airline. Her career encompassed many major events involving airlines and aircraft, including hijackings and crashes, and there aren’t too many things she has not seen during her years of flying across the globe. She also has training and experience in the field of emergency medical services.
Having just returned from an international flight and fighting jet lag, Rebekah Roth was jarred awake on the morning of September 11, 2001 as the macabre sights in lower Manhattan splashed across her television. She could hardly believe what she was seeing as the twin towers of the World Trade Center turned to dust, ostensibly from the impact and fire caused by two direct hits by passenger planes hijacked by Muslim terrorists. At that moment, her job became much more perilous.
During the remaining years she spent working within the airline industry, Rebekah Roth watched the transformation of commercial air travel, the birth of the TSA, and the implementation of security measures at airports and by the airlines as an insider. Her access to various reports issued by the FAA, her knowledge of the inner workings of the airlines, and the contacts she made during the course of her international travels would prove invaluable to the investigative journey she would undertake inside the matrix of the attacks of 9/11.
In Methodical Illusion, Rebekah Roth adeptly transforms a fictional novel to an investigative summary, a tactic that is difficult at best for even the most skilled authors. She leaves readers with much information that has been ignored or deliberately scrubbed by the captured media.
