Jen Mendez is a wife, mother, permaculture enthusiast and student, lifelong learner, urban homesteader, and professionally trained, successful educator gone rogue. Her experiences living and working around the world as an active duty military member led to an understanding of the need for and the impact of education on the future of our world.
After her service, she completed a Masters in International Education with a focus on early childhood and elementary education and has been an educator ever since. Between her time as a classroom teacher and now as a homeschooling parent, she has fused her passion for educating and her enthusiasm for permaculture into an ethical, scientific design process to create a comprehensive, project-based inquiry education that empowers in learning and life.
She joins us today to discuss age appropriate home based education to teach children preparedness and self reliance without unnecessarily causing a climate of fear in their lives.

EXCESSIVE (compulsive) SELF RELIANCE!
As an EX-CONTROL (con-swindle / troll-clumsy demon) FREAK; I suffered from Excessive Self Reliance Disorder! In an attempt to control everyone and everything around me; I became obsessed with being totally self-reliant. I developed a strong-will, drive and a can-do attitude. I believed in MY OWN WILL POWER and my drive to make anything happen that I wanted. I closed out people, refused help and denied support, assistance and comfort, that I needed. I learned how to live on a desert, in isolation and I created world with my word and my will in which all I needed to get by was ME; MYSELF AND I!

Please join REVELATION aka, host of "Get Your, It Together!” for part 2 of the Transits of the Planet Saturn through the astrological signs and the general overall affects that occur in our lives as a result. As always it's a pleasure to bring you a show as profoundly necessary as this. We’ll certainly analyze the dynamics necessary to live in the created reality of our choices, blissfully, peacefully and lovingly without the conditions that manifest anything other than the realization of a Divine Experience! We’ll continue to explore those dynamics with a Conscious Awareness necessary to conceptualize that, "energy flows, where attention goes" and what that really means. And, how our physical bodies are actually an ocean of living, breathing, liquid pulsing, bio-electric life form that is the overall experience being revealed through this dimension. So, travel with us as we reveal how particular specifics can alter programmed states of awareness that ultimately affect our emotions, actions, thoughts etc. resulting in a perceptual outcome other than divinely intended, perceptually. We're breaking long standing traditions that keep us shackled to lies that perpetuate the fear that binds us to the lies that incarcerate our imagination denouncing Universal truth. Join us as we strip away layer upon layer of systemic programming and conditioning over time so that we can begin revealing "The Who & What You Are, Is Being Revealed," chapter XXXIII. We'll “Ponder the Poetry.” Email all suggestions and/or submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org Please call in with a question or comment to 773-897-6555 blogtalkradio.com/gyit
It appears the need for personal and family self-reliance may be more important than ever! As we encounter the newest problems associated with natural disasters, such as weather-related conditions and geological catastophres, such as earthquakes and tsunamis, and people-caused disasters such as the collapsing economy, corruption of the political system, destruction of personal health and wealth, terrorism, and the inevitable personal disasters of job loss, divorce, death in the family, accidents, and so on which make prepping a valuable skill.
The new 12.5 Edition of Making the Best of Basics has been published for THIS generation. As the author, and having lived a preparedness lifestyle for more than 40 years, I have come to the conclusion that it really doesn’t matter what causes the need to be prepared––If you are prepared, you need not fear!
It's as simple as that!
