01:05SOW Show - Called To " Share " And " Defend " Our Faith
Is there a urgency in our hearts to bring people to Christ ? 1st Peter 3:15 says , " But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. " Are we sometimes mislead that this is not our gift to evangelize and defend our faith? When Paul says to us , " set apart Christ as Lord ", isn't this a reminder that Christ is your life ? Is He not in control? Is He not your consuming passion? What you don't know how ? So you say , " thats someone elses gift , not mine " ? Since He is in control , can we not trust Him to show us how, when , and where to share the gospel? Are we not commanded to use apologetics in as many places as we are told to reach others with the gospel? Paul does instruct us to maintain an attitude of gentleness and respect when sharing to others. We are not to have a self-righteous attitude or condemning spirit getting in the way. Afterall Paul told us also that the "cross" is offensive enough to the unbeliever. We are all not preachers,but we can all be reachers!
