Sometimes the memories are too much to hold inside. Sometimes the pain just gets too big. Medicating our pain as survivors of child sexual abuse is one way to survive.
But as long as we are addicted, we will never thrive. Addiction kills relationships, careers, healing and spiritual growth. Addiction takes the life out of us and returns the destruction of all we hold dear in exchange for killing the pain.
David Pittman, director of Together We Heal, knows both the pain of abuse AND the pain of addiction. And now he knows the joy of helping others get free from both. Join David and Misa as they bring hope for healing from addiction and child abuse.

Physical Violence and Domestic Abuse Are not exclussively to having female victims! Men are significantly abused and victims of physical violence OFTEN in relationships by their female counterpart! We REALLY have to elevate our level and methodology towards EDUCATING ALL PEOPLE to the down sides of #PhysicalViolence and #DomesticAbuse We must STOP SETTING OUR WOMEN UP with the ignorant notion and cindiotoning that they can merely violently act on thier emotional empulses of dislike and distain, etc!!! This will significantly help our society as a whole, vs just the "battered women of the country"!

According to the Canadian Mental Health Association, "...mental health and physical health are fundamentally linked. People living with a serious mental illness are at higher risk of experiencing a wide range of physical conditions. Conversely, people living with physical health conditions experience depression and anxiety at twice the rate of the general population."

This Monday, the Greens will examine the converse relationship of mental health and physical health. The question, should professional sports teams spend as much resources on the mental health of players as they do on physical health? Recent developments lead us to believe that professional sports players are engaging in behaviors that cause us to suspect their judgement. What responsibility,if any, do the leagues have in encouraging mental health and emotional wellness in their players?

Rejected by her father and teased at school, young Michelle was vulnerable and fell victim to a pedophile. She was only 12 and he was 42, married with kids. A shocking story of human struggle, tragedy and inspiration. Here is a short excerpt from Michelle's story published on Authors Den:
"I’d never had a relationship with my own father, so when Phil came into my life I had no idea what I was getting into. I was 12 and he was 42. It all seemed to happen so fast. One minute I was hearing him tell me he was in love with me, and the next minute… The physical aspect of our relationship was unsettling. I still played with Barbie dolls and he knew it. Walking home after spending the day with my seventh grade classmates, I’d sometimes see his car parked at the church waiting for me. I’d run inside and tell him all about my day. He pretended to be interested but he clearly had other reasons for being there."
