Many years ago I was introduced to the wonders of healthy eating and living by my God sister Vernez Kittrell . I attempted to totally venture into the waters of healthiness with her but was stopped many times for a host of reasons: too much information, not enough information, misinformation, and the list goes on.
My God sister embraced the concept more vigorously but also struggled to stay abreast of the ever changing literature and approaches. Sadly, Vernez lost her battle with cancer and passed away.
The most important lesson I learned from my journey with her is to have balance in my life, live to the fullest and strive to live as healthy as possible.
Seva Life was created as a tool to help you embrace a healthier way of being without so many of the frustrations often encountered. I received my certification in health coaching from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and now focus on the whole health approach to achieving long lasting health changes.
I believe that too much emphasis is being placed on medications and not enough time on identifying the root causes of many of our health issues. Food and environment are primary factors that have really compromised our body’s ability to function - so we feel tired and gain weight.
I am committed to helping my clients realize their long-term dreams through health eating and living.
Catch Your Spirit with the Energy of Seva
The idea of selfless service (seva also sewa) is an important concept in most yogic traditions. Because Spirit is perceived as having a relationship with others, as well as oneself, serving other people is considered an essential devotional practice of indirectly serving Spirit. Seva is all about service to make life easier for others.

Seva is a franchise concept that specializes in the art of brow shaping, facial hair removal and waxing. Their signature offering is eyebrow threading – a relatively up-and-coming concept that more and more people are seeming to utilize for its various benefits. Here are some of the most unique aspects of this franchise concept:
Seva grows within retail stores, and has established an exclusive partnership with Walmart to begin with. There is also opportunity to grow in other retail stores such as Walgreens, Sephora and Ulta. By using a growth model of a store within a store, the Seva opportunity guarantees entrepreneurs foot traffic in the thousands per week. Seva doesn’t utilize traditional marketing tactics to sell its product, making start-up and success very easy for entrepreneurs. One of the only marketing tactics Seva utilizes is handing out coupons in front of the store. Seva utilizes a technological strategy to ensure success for each Seva salon. Seva’s proprietary iPad-based POS technology is installed in every location to enable its franchisees to easily run and monitor their stores in real time from anywhere in the world via any computer, web-enabled phone, or iPad. Seva has designed a complete turnkey “Salon-in-a-Box” delivery system which handles all aspects of the design, construction, delivery, and coordination of build out of every new Seva salon. Entrepreneurs do not need to know a thing about eyebrow threading, waxing or beauty to be successful with a Seva concept. This is a concept that can easily be run by an absentee owner. We are meeting with Vas Maniatis, founder of Seva.
In part two we are meeting with tha author of Franchise Times Guide to Selecting, Buying and Owning a Franchise Julie Bennett from our Great Quotes in Franchising podcast.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. When our hearts have turned away from sin and are heart is clean, we can perceive Gods omnipresence. This can especially be true for seeing the good in others. How can our lives be of service to God and each other and what or whom does the work benefit ? Although this appears as simple altruism, It is a profound way to strengthen our relationship with our Creator as well as enriching someone elses life with Gods glory.

What is the blessedness of good conduct ? What are some ways self discipline and self restraint can be of benefit to others in terms of spiritual growth and connection with our Creator? An epidemic of apathy, swarming like the locust, has derailed and disguised the potential we have to care for one another as one humanity on earth. The information age has made us each our own individual god, with all the information we need to satisfy our innate desire for more knowledge and power. The definition of what it means to be humane is changing from sanctification to defamation. When we've collectively decided that we no longer need God in our lives or assume we are the ultimate power in our own universes, we have fallen from grace. This grace, woven into the colorful fabric that make up the quilt of humanity, stands out to those who open their eyes, ears and hearts with love, and behave exercising good conduct i.e. serving one another graciously. Lets talk about this! Will our good conduct be counted for us on the day of Judgement?
