Gary started some 40 years ago as a fine art painter, but with his natural design aptitude, quickly led him into the Interior Design field. After studying at UCLA, he was fortunate to work with a couple of the top Design firms of the day, Landa-Poet and Rowen and Mentzer. Always the entrepreneur, he ventured out on his own and was fortunate over the years to work through-out the country. Gary has worked with many of his clients on multiple homes and is fortunate to this day, to still be working with them. #MyRealTalkRadio interviews Singer/Songwriter: SEBASTIAN MIKAEL.
Sincere lyrics and acoustic pop beats make Sebastian Mikael the up and coming singer-songwriter this year. His new single “Beautiful Life” is captivating audiences.
While many artists spend a lifetime chasing “international status,” 24-year-old classically trained singer-songwriter-musician Sebastian Mikael is already starting his career where others can only hope to finish. Born in Sweden to a Swedish father and Ethiopian mother, Sebastian Mikael—formerly known as De-Lor (which is French for “of gold”)—was raised in a diverse household that was enriched by music. While no one in his family ever made music professionally, Sebastian Mikael inherited his passion for music from his father and the sounds he grew up listening to inspired him to find out what was going on behind the music. With just a handful of years experience as a musician, Sebastian Mikael is already skilled at meshing elements of rock, R&B, pop and electronic music into one cohesive package, held together by his unique acoustic guitar playing. “I feel like my music truly has something to say,” he says. “When people hear my music, I want them to relate. The way my music makes me feel inside is usually the same way people feel when they hear it.”

Jill Gibson Bell is the daughter of legendary radio and music man Jack "The Rapper" Gibson. He was a long time radio DJ from the 50s and maybe even the late 40s. Jack starred in the first radio soap opera drama to feature an all black cast, "Here Comes Tomorrow." In 1949, he opened the first Black owned and operated radio station in America-Atlanta’s WERD. Jack the Rapper is also credited with developing a new design for radio control rooms where he elevated the equipment forcing disc jockeys to stand. This greatly improving their voice projection and his idea has been copied all around the world.
Jack the Rapper was the first National Director of Promotions and Public Relations for Motown Records. He led the successful campaign to have Stevie Wonder’s records “unbanned” in South Africa. Jack the Rapper is considered to be the father of Black radio and came from that ilk of people who created a unique style of on air announcing. Famous DJs like Daddy O, Jocko Henderson and numerous others often incorporated rhymes in their daily chatter. This should be a wonderful conversation and look back at a very rich history.
