We will discuss the week in sports, the drama that is the World Cup, why we miss real football and the topic of the week is: With Lebron opting out and other players following suit, do you think it makes sense for players to "take less money to help build the team"? Basically, the "employer" wants the "employee" to take less money so they can make more money AKA avoiding the luxury tax, salary cap issues etc. MoJo, Tone and Mike will discuss this and all things sports on the Tuesday Night Chop Up!

It is frightening how important the Memphis Grizzlies' season opener is to their prospects for the 2013-14 season -- and yes, that is a Halloween reference.
The ghosts of last May will be visiting again when the Spurs, who swept the Grizzlies 4-0 in last year's Western Conference finals, will be the opponent.
With a win, the Grizzlies can build a level of confidence that can carry them through November -- if not longer. With a loss, the Dave Joerger era gets off to an inauspi
These are recordings of the conversations I was having with Carl 2ice about the rising New York Jets team, then under new head coach Rex Ryan and rookie QB Mark Sanchez. This was the year they made it to the AFC championship game. They had the best defence in the NFL. It was an exciting season.
A recap of the season opener from Albert Park
Albert Park in Melbourne Australia played host to the first Formula One Grand Prix of the 2014 season. Qualifying on Saturday lead to a few surprises. Four-time world champion driver for Red Bull, Sebastian Vettel, did not make the top three. However, Vettel’s teammate Daniel Ricciardo qualified for second. 2008 world champion Lewis Hamilton with Mercedes, was in pole position and his teammate Nico Rosberg, and was third.
On race-day fortunes began to change at the drop of the flag when Nico Rosberg immediately moved into the lead, and held it throughout the race. By lap seven fans were disappointed to see, both Lewis Hamilton and, Sebastian Vettel were forced into retirement, due to car trouble. Lap eight was a preview of who would end up on the podium. In the lead was Rosberg, Ricciardo, followed by Kevin Magnussen, the rookie driver for McLaren.
Some notable action on the grid was the very dependable Valtteri Bottas with Williams-Martini F1 who started 15th and worked his way up to 7th before ending up at 10th, giving Williams-Martini more points in the first rave than they garnered all year in 2013.
Update: Due to a violation of fuel levels, Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo was disqualified, thereby moving Kevin Magnussen up to 2nd place and his McLaren teammate Jensen Button, into 3rd.

We welcome you to our first broadcast of North Brunswick Raiders Basketball on BlogTalkRadio through the King James Radio Network.
We have the opening contest of the 2013-14 high school basketball season, when the North Brunswick Lady Raiders take on the arch rival New Brunswick Zebras, live from North Brunswick Township High School.
Head coach Shaun Morrell enters his fifth season as girls basketball head coach with a career record of 69-35, which includes three straight appearances in the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament semifinals.
We should also throw in that Shaun Morrell has a lifetime record of 8-0 against New Brunswick.
North Brunswick will be led on the floor by junior guard Kyra Fox, who will have a new starting lineup to work with. She will get some help from senior point guard Khadijah Matthews, who transfers from Franklin High School in Somerset County with much needed floor experience on the varsity level. Danielle Segerholm is a sophomore, but will be a welcome addition in the low post around the basket.
With a pair of 20-win seasons under their belt, the Lady Raiders are back on the map in the GMC, and we will follow their progress, right here on the King James Radio Network.
The Washington Nationals and Chicago Cubs played the series opener in a fog-covered Wrigley Field. The Cubs blew a 3-1 lead in the top of the seventh, but scored two in the bottom of the inning for a 5-3 win.
