Today Nancy Varner will share her testimony. Born and raised in Charleston South Carolina Nancy and her family started attending North Charleston United Methodist Church when she was 11. She was involved in their Youth Fellowship and singing in the youth choir. While at North Charleston she met, fell in love, and married Gregg. They’ve been married for nearly 39 years. Gregg pastors Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Lydia, South Carolina, a congregation they love very much.
Nancy originally shared this message when Gregg attended an Annual Conference a few years ago. The congregation’s response was encouraging and they told others. So Nancy humbly began sharing this message with about twenty five churches including women’s groups.
About a year ago, through God's guidance that at first glance would appear to be coincidence, Nancy found Kenneth and John’s Tribulation Now ministry and these SDG Bible studies. Then the Lord “nudged” her to change up the end of this message as her eyes were opened to the fact that we are right on the precipice of Jesus’ soon return. This knowledge drove Nancy back to her first love of the Lord like a freight train, filling her with a love and compassion for the lost.
Now Nancy has a burning in her heart to tell all who will listen about the long-suffering grace of God and how He patiently waited on her to return to Him like the prodigal son. Our Father longs for a love relationship with each one of us and what He did for Nancy He will do for you!
Their ministry has brought joys and blessing beyond all Gregg and Nancy could ever ask or imagine and she’s forever grateful to Gregg for encouraging her to share this message of salvation and hope. Nancy also thanks Pastor Tom Evatt and North Charleston United Methodist Church and of course God for the strong Christian foundation they provided her.
So many people have the wrong idea about money. Money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy a marriage but not love.
And money can buy four years in college but it can’t buy an education. Plus… GOD NEVER SAID MONEY IS EVIL!!!
Tune into this very important message on money and what God has to say about a man and his money!

1 John 3:1-9
This message focuses on the often misunderstood topic of true salvation.
Now the devil's the great counterfeiter and he'd just as soon send you to hell from the pew as from the gutter.
In fact, I think he'd prefers us to have a form of religion but not a genuine and real salvation through a relationship with The LORD Jesus Christ.
And I believe the curse of our twenty first century is that we have many churches filled with baptized pagans.
Churches full of empty people who've never really been saved.
They may have culture, but they don't have Calvary.
They have ritual, but they don't have reality.
They have form, but they don't have force.
They have religion but they don't have righteousness.
So what we're going to be studying today, is real salvation.
This message is a warning to everyone listening lest you be deceived and miss the whole thing.

SDG 149 Is it Biblical to Hate?
1 John 2:15-17
When you're a Christian, the Lord fills your heart with love, but we're taught by The Word not to love everything.
In fact, as a child of God there are some things we cannot truly love and ought to actually hate,
Yes I said hate. Proverbs 8:13 says that fear of the LORD is to hate evil, pride, arrogance, the evil way and the lying mouth. And by the way this is the beginning of wisdom.
So in this message we’ll focus on “the world” AKA “the system” and just what exactly it means and doesn’t mean to hate Biblically and how “the system” has twisted the meaning of the word hate..
1 John 2:15-17
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
1 Peter 3:1-7 and 1 Peter 2:11-13
In our focus scripture, Peter spends six verses giving wives their marching orders from God.
Now remember in SDG 155 Husbands got theirs. Then in SDG 156 we looked at how to pray like Elijah, fervently and effectively.
So you may be wondering why these three messages are grouped together; well Peter tells us why in verse 7!
… that your prayers be not hindered.
Now I’ve seen more ineffectual prayers in the lives of true believers including my own prayers.
And when I asked the LORD why He told me husbands and wives got to “Get Right with one another, then and only then will their prayers not be hindered!”
So if you want to pray like Elijah, stay tuned!
Now Peter's talking to women on how to behave in tough times and these women were having hard times with tough unbelieving husbands! And wives here’s what Peter says: Don’t leave them, don’t lecture them, don’t lord over them but rather love them!
So how are you to do that? Well Peters tells you. He says: with an adornment of serenity, acts of service and with… the RIGHT attitude of Godly submission; now the word submission is not very popular in our culture today.
So we’ll conclude with a look at what the Bible has to say about the principle, place, problem and price of Godly submission.
Now wives AND husbands PAY ATTENTION because when you BOTH get the right attitude towards Godly submission look out; after God sees that your hearts are right about being under authority, then and only then He will grant you His Kingdom Authority.
And once you have His Kingdom authority operating in your livesthen you’ll be able to pray fervently and effectively and that’s when miracles start happening!!!
Joshua 8, Deuteronomy 27:13–18 and Deuteronomy 28:1-7
As one reads through the Book of Joshua it becomes apparent that an important truth isn’t HOW God accomplishes victory in His people; the important truth is that God DOES it and we don’t!
So God’s methods may change, but God’s personality, character, and principles NEVER change.
So we learn this about the nature of God in Joshua 8: First of all the waywardness that He pardons as seen in His people Israel and then the wickedness that He punishes as seen in the people of Ai.
And if we don’t see both of them we don’t have the big picture of Almighty God.
For God is a God of both goodness and severity, of both mercy and judgment.
And this brings us to a third point, where we will spend our time together in this message, and that is,
3. The Will that God permits
So just what IS "the will" that God permits?
God allows a man to choose whether or not he will be blessed or cursed.
God allows a man to choose whether or not he will be pardoned or punished.
So we can choose; it’s up to us!
There's a valley of decision between a mountain of misery, and a mountain of mercy.
And we can have either one, it’s up to us.
So we can be like Israel or we can be like Ai, it’s our choice.
Now God loves us but He is a Holy God and if our sin is not pardoned in Christ it’ll be punished in Hell.
There’s no in between; there's no alternative.
So EVERYBODY must come to a valley of decision.
Tune into this message to hear about the 4 reasons we ought to choose the mount of mercy instead of the mount of misery…
We need to learn how to forgive one another.
Forgiveness is one of God’s greatest gifts and thank God He has forgiven us.
Thank God for His grace that forgives us.
Now “to forgive” literally means to release a debt.
So when we sin, we sin against God, and Heaven’s suing us for damages and there’s a debt that we cannot pay.
But when forgiveness comes, our debt is cancelled.
For example, if you owe me a thousand dollars and you cannot pay, and I say, “I forgive the debt,” it cost me a thousand dollars to forgive your debt.
So there are no free passes.
Forgiveness costs the forgiver to forgive the forgivee, and the forgiver pays the debt.
So there’s no such thing as cheap forgiveness’.
Be sure to tune in to see the reasons to forgive and also the Biblical requirement to forgive if you desire to be forgiven.
This is a must listen to message for everyone who desires to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
The Israelites had religion but they lacked relationship.
Now there’s perhaps no festival that showed this more clearly than the feast of tabernacles. This feast was a great Hebrew feast and during the climax of that feast, the priest would go down to the pool of Siloam and fill a golden pitcher with water from the pool.
Then he'd bring that water back and the people would follow; leaping, dancing, playing cymbals, chanting, and praising.
And then priest would pour out the water from the pool of Siloam at the altar.
And as he did, all sorts of hilarity would break out.
So Jesus was observing this ceremony watching their ecstasy, their joy, and their hilarity. And He knew that after it was all over, they would go back to their homes, and this celebration and happiness would just be a vague memory.
They would still have their old heartaches, tears, fears, faults, and failures. All of their enjoyment would be gone; a mere religious exercise and not a relationship with The LORD of Glory.
So it was this religious ritual that gave a fleeting joy for but a moment, like a pitcher of water poured out on an altar.
That's why Jesus said, “If you’re really thirsty, come to Me and drink.”
So what Jesus was saying is, “It's time to stop enduring religion, and start enjoying salvation through a relationship with Me.”
Be sure to tune in to learn the difference between religion and relationship
I love this psalm, it’s an incredible Psalm written by Asaph who wondered why the wicked prosper.
But DO they REALLY prosper?
Now Asaph begins with a conclusion and that is: "God is good", and amen to that!
And if you look into this psalm you’ll see that first off Asaph got into trouble by looking upon the wicked.
He wrongly thought he saw prosperity, peace, pride, pleasure, and even profanity towards Almighty God, yet no judgment!
So he wondered “What’s up?”
And then he got even more confused as he looked inward into his own heart; the heart of a true believer who was cleansed and even chastened by God.
Then he even admits this in verse 16 where he said: “When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me”
But praise the LORD because Asaph FINALLY looks to God and finds understanding (verse 18) which leads him to look onward where he sees the personal presence, the sustaining power, the guiding purpose and even the glorious promise of our Almighty God!
So be sure to tune in to learn how all of this applies to us as true believers!
1 Corinthians 15:12–19
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is central to The Faith once delivered unto the saints.
Now here's a few unthinkable questions:
What if there had been no resurrection?
What if Jesus Christ stayed in that tomb?
What if death had won and Jesus stayed in the grave?
Well, the apostle Paul deals with that question in 1 Corinthians 15 beginning in verse 12. But then these unthinkable questions come along:
Suppose Jesus Christ is still in that grave.
Suppose Jesus did not rise from the dead.
This message covers six tragic realities we’d face if it were true that Jesus Christ was still in that grave.
1. Profitless Preaching.
2. A Foolish FAITH.
3. Deceptive Disciples.
4. The Sovereignty of Sin.
5. The Dominion of Death. and
6. Fearful Future.
A wise man once said, “If Jesus Christ is still in that grave, nothing really matters; but if Jesus Christ came out of that grave, nothing but that really matters.”
Now The Truth is He is RISEN!
He IS Risen indeed!!!
So preaching is profitable, faith is feasible, the disciples are dependable, sin has been subdued, death has been defeated, and the future is fabulous!!!
The truth of the ages is that Jesus Christ came out of the grave and only foolishness doubts the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
So tune in to celebrate the Resurrection!

Today we are looking at the parable of the Good Samaritan and three awesome truths contained in this amazing story.
It has meaning on so many levels that it never ceases to amaze me when I sit down and read it! And that’s one way you can tell it’s the inspired word of God!
Today we’ll see the criminal inhumanity of Satan, society and even self. Then we’ll look at the Casual indifference of religion with it’s rules and ritual that are dead and have no life in them.
And finally we’ll conclude the most awesome truth of this parable and that’s the compassionate involvement of Jesus as The Good Samaritan. Yes that certain Samaritan, The Good Samaritian is a type and shadow of The LORD Jesus Christ Himself!
So stay tuned to learn how the compassion of this certain Samaritan was genuine, gracious and gentle. Everything Jesus is to all who will trust and obey!
