'Dr. Sinclair was raised in Wisconsin where he completed his undergraduate and medical school training at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His mentor at Madison, Robert Schilling, M.D. suggested he do his post M.D. training at UCSD with Helen Rainey, M.D. and Mark Green, M.D. who continued to mentor him in the field of hematology and medical oncology. Dr. Sinclair began his private practice in 1987 and has spent the last several years fully engaged in the private practice of hematology and medical oncology.
Dr. Sinclair has offices in La Jolla and Encinitas. He is the Medical Director of the Scripps Cancer Center at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. His interests include benign hematology, all forms of cancer as well as palliative medicine that lead to his position as medical director of a local hospice program. He sees himself as the “quarterback” for his patients as they try to navigate their way through the complex arena of cancer care.
In his spare time, Dr. Sinclair enjoys spending time with his family and pets.'

Dr. Bonakdar is the Director of Pain Management at the Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine and a member of the Scripps Green Hospital Pain Management and Physician Wellness Committees. He also serves as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine and is the current president of the American Academy of Pain Management.
After completing his family medicine residency he completed a fellowship in integrative medicine at Scripps Clinic with a focus on integrative pain management. He has additionally completed the UCLA Acupuncture Course for Physicians and a Richter Fellowship in Southeast Asia, where he studied acupuncture, Tai Chi and mind-body practices. His current clinical and research interests include integrative approaches to chronic disease management with a focus on pain management and metabolic disease.
He is also editor of the Weil Integrative Guide to Pain Management coming out in the fall of this year, editor of the H.E.R.B.A.L. Guide: Dietary Supplement Resources for the Clinician and a contributing author to the 3rd edition of Integrative Medicine.

That never happened in her hometown, Miami. Before becoming the Martin County columnist for Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers in 2009, she worked as a reporter at The Palm Beach Post for five years. When she's not writing columns, Eve and her Alaska-bred husband spend lots of time playing with their young son. She received her degree in Biological Anthropology at the University of California, San Diego in 1998 and worked in Marine Science at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, at the Center for Reproduction of Endangered Species at the San Diego Zoo and at The University of California in Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara. Dr. Mason is director of the Scripps Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) Program and the stem cell lab at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines. Under his leadership, the BMT Program offers innovative care — incorporating dose-intensive chemotherapy and/or immunotherapy — and is recognized as a leader in the BMT field on the West Coast.

Yolaine M. Stout, BA, CFRM,Yolaine Stout, founding director of ACISTE, has served as President and Executive Director on four non-profit boards since 1990, including the International Association for Near-Death Studies or IANDS. In that capacity, she saw the tremendous need for a greater understanding of the integration process and support system for experiencers. She is author of “Six Major Challenges Faced by Near-Death Experiencers” published in the Journal of Near-Death Studies, co-facilitated the first IANDS retreat for near-death experiencers.
Mrs. Stout has given numerous presentations and radio interviews related to near-death experiences and her own NDE, the result of a suicide attempt in 1982. Mrs. Stout has also produced an upcoming documentary called “Back to Life: Six Challenges Faced by Near-Death Experiencers.” She is an Honors graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where she received her teaching credential. After retiring from a 25 year teaching career, she received her Certificate in Fundraising Management from the Center of Philanthropy at Indiana University.
In addition to her work with ACISTE, Mrs. Stout has been a writer, organizational consultant, strategic planner and life coach. Her passion is to see organizations and individuals reach their highest potential through the power of vision, passion, purpose, collaboration and action. She is married to Scripps scientist, Dr. Charles Stout and has raised three sons.
