The people of Salem, Massachusetts in the 1600s lived in a culture that accepted the existence of the devil, assorted demons and other evil spirits, including witches, and which encouraged them to blame all misfortune and conflict in the community on these supernatural causes. The people of the modern day West live in a culture that largely accepts the existence the Patriarchy, Rape Culture, and Cultural Misogyny, and which encourages them to blame all misfortune and conflict in the community--from rape to domestic violence to the pay gap to male-only conscription--on these ethereal and unfalsifiable "social constructs".The Salem witch trials began with accusations against an opposing camp--a rival family in the community engaged in a long-standing feud with the family of the accused. The flurry of recent sexual misconduct accusations in the Atheist/sceptic community essentially began with an invitation to continue a conversation over coffee, proffered by an unnamed man in an elevator. That invitation was ground zero for the splintering of that community into two rival camps--one which embraced scepticism and the rejection of any notion of an invisible, unmeasurable superior power that rules all our lives, and one which embraced dogmatism.A witch hunt has begun in the sceptic community--one side asking for evidence, and the other demanding blind faith. Who will prevail? God knows...
NLPI Presenters Kurt, Mickey & Gary will be chatting to Paranormal Guests from all over the world. How would it feel to look into the eyes of a man who gazes unconditional love.
Today I interview Sahaja an amazing woman from Perth who is bringing, Braco to Australia in June 2013.
Many people feel a sense of recognition or familiarity with Braco, (pronounced Braht-so). Perhaps that’s why his mentor gave him this name literally meaning little brother. Braco’s story is interesting. He had never read a spiritual book in his life or shown interest in such matters. At the age of 26, with initial scepticism, he accompanied his mother to see a Serbian prophet and healer named Ivica Prokic. At this time, Braco had a successful business, a Masters in Economics and no shortage of worldly security.
Upon meeting Ivica, something so foundational shifted in him that his previous life fell away in a matter of days. He spent 18 months by Ivica’s side, not learning anything specific, simply being there as a beloved friend. Ivica’s life ended suddenly in an accident, leaving Braco the one to return to Zagreb, Croatia to break the tragic news to his followers.
Upon hearing the news, a mother pushed through the crowd insisting that she had a dream where she was told if he would touch the photo of her child, the child would be helped. This indeed happened and word spread fast that Braco, like Ivica, had a gift. For eight years Braco saw people one-by-one. Eventually the crowds grew so big, something had to change. In Bosnia, where more than 7000 people were waiting, Braco worked 36 hours straight. When he saw there was still a crowd, Braco asked his staff to gather the people and had the inspiration to gaze out over the crowd. From that simple gaze of a few minutes astonishing changes occurred.
Fast-forward 18 years, Braco sees up to 250,000 people a year primarily in Europe and the United States.

This is my first show, subsequent episodes will include readings and also chat sessions, but for now i want to take you back to the beginning, which is where it all began and before the happy ending, it all began with a tale, a child, an open heart and a quest to be undertaken...

Steve & Shawn are LIVE with another round of paranormal talk with our good friend Bobby Nelson, skeptic and co host of Strange Frequencies Radio! Here is Bobbys bio:
Bobby Nelson is a skeptic, writer, and co-host of Strange Frequencies Radio. His personal blog can be found online at www.porkrhine.com
At one time, Bobby was what could be called a "true believer" in paranormal phenomenon. Having been an active investigator of the paranormal for 12 years with several different Toledo based teams, he has examined countless claims of activity. But years worth of research and investigation proved to him that the evidence for these claims are generally lacking and, furthermore, the vast majority of so-called scientific paranormal investigators were using improper methodologies which caused them to draw both false and misleading conclusions.
Aside from field investigations, he has also pursued laboratory testing of several items which have been a big topic of conversation with paranormal enthusiasts; such as Ghost Boxes and Ouija Boards. During these tests, Bobby has shown how these items fail time and time again under proper controlled conditions.
He has studied and lectured on such topics as real open mindedness, scepticism, EVP, subjective validation, and the psychological observation known as the Forer Effect.
Bobby is a frequent guest on programs such as PSI FI Para Radio and Paradigm Project Radio, where his easy going personality and reliable information have made him a hit with show hosts and listeners alike.
On his own internet radio show and podcast, Strange Frequencies Radio, he has interviewed hundreds of the biggest names and personalities in the field; even debating a real life Exorcist live on-air on two separate occasions.
Bobby loves to cover the following:
* Open Mindedness
*Ghost Boxes and Ouija Boards
Now...DeAnna you may ask...what are you doing featuring a Jesuit priest, let alone a MAN, on your show? Let alone as a "Kick A** Woman"? What's going on? Well...Fr McCabe was the driving force for women to be accepted for admitance at Marquette University (my alma mater!!! Go Warriors...er, Golden Eagles!).This historical decision was THE FIRST for a Catholic school of higher education that women & men would be educated side-by-side! Needless to say, this was met with much scepticism and the push back was great. This went all the way to Rome, where the decision to back up Fr McCabe took 3 years! During this time however, Fr McCabe & Marquette admitted women! Fr McCabe was ultimately reassigned to Xavier University where he did the exact same thing-paving the way for women to attend a Catholic university alongside men.
As a side note-this is the 100th Anniversary of Women at Marquette & I wanted to make sure that Fr McCabe was honored in my own small way, as I'm a true benefactor of his pioneering & "kick a**" contribution for helping to empower women!
