HERE WE DISCUSS HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN FROM EVEN THE THINGS THAT WE CAN NOT SEE. HOW IT IS EQUALLY IMPORTANT TO BE MINDFUL OF THE PEOPLE YOU HANG AROUND, THE THINGS YOU EXPOSE YOUR FAMILY TOO AND YOUR OWN MENTALITY WHEN IT COMES TO THINGS. THERE ARE ENERGIES ON THE PLANET THAT ARE EVIL AND OPPORTUNISTIC AND DO NOT DISCRIMINATE AGAINST THE YOUNG. IN FACT, MANY EVIL SPIRITS PREFER YOUNG SOULS. WALK WITH ME AS WE TAKE A JOURNEY INTO THE REALM OF UNDERSTANDING OUR ROLE AS PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS WHEN IT COMES TO THE SPIRITUAL WELL-BEING OF OUR CHILDREN,
Join us on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in morning for a conversation with the Founder of "The Feed Our Children Ministries, Pastor Moses Brown. Feed Our Children Ministries is committed to being a source of support to economically disadvantaged children and their families, the homeless, and the elderly. The vision of FOC Ministries is to equip each individual we contact with the tools necessary in realizing their unlimited potentials. To leave no one hungry physically or spiritually and to enable each one we serve with the ability to serve someone else in need.
With an immediate goal to restore the families of each individual served, the long term goals of FOC Ministries are a return back to the community of individuals and families served to provide assistance to other families in need. To acquire a homeless shelter and be able to service more families with our products and services and to provide food shelter for orphans in third world countries as well as other services.
The food is given to the people at no cost to them. Further, the purpose of the food program is to feed the poor, not to grow our church. The food provided generally consists of fresh produce, cereals, breads, packaged goods, juices, canned goods, snacks, chips, candies, etc. The food boxes (usually a combination of boxes and bags) normally contain between 30-50 pounds of these food items.
On tonight's show, I will continue my series of The State of Black America, by asking, what are your solutions to saving our lives? This show will not only be about police killings, but also crimes and killings done BY US, TO US, as well as the excessive incarceration rate of Black men. There's an apparent and urgent need for something to change. I've had many of conversations where people have thrown out a multitude of things that we can do. Some say we need to dress differently, some say we need to mindful of how we talk to the cops, some say that we should drive different vehicles so we don't fit stereotypes, some say that we need stop supporting media and entertainment that gloriifes drugs, killings and sex, some say that we need to be more involved in the political process and vote more, some say that bad parenting is the reason for it all etc. What do you say?
All of those points may be valid, so how do we begin a comprehensive plan of action, so that we can begin to implement said solutions? All ideas are in play here, It's imperative that we have a real intense dialogue about forming some solutions, and manifesting them into action.
We are back with co-host Commika Shannon and the Save our Children award winning series. Its been a while and the conditions have not gotten any better. Just what is wrong with todays society that our children are being victimized so regular and often. Join me you host and co-host Ms Shannon as we uncover this epidemic in our society
Living in the south, with all its charms, traditions and iconography does not offer access into certain aspects of her history, especially when that history involves discussions around the Civil War and the Confederacy. The inability to rake through the smoldering ashes of a war fought 150 years ago, allows for a one-sided narrative that sometimes misrepresents the causes for war, the people - enslaved and free - who lived through the war and and its aftermath. Although it is a necessary, and some might add, long overdue undertaking, it is also anxiety ridden, especially within the black community.
How can parents of color approach this subject and explain to their children a war fought over, among other things, a system of that relegated their ancestors to permanent servitude?
Today, the Mommy Chronicles is on site as the Alabama State University Department of History and Political Science explores those issues by examining the Civil War history at its first Confederate Memorial Day "Mini" Conference.

In this episode Lisa A. Romano, Certified ACoA Life Coach, Mentor and Author helps we wounded Adult Children from dysfunctional homes understand how we can use pain to help us transcend our wounds and how by 'reframing' how we experience our pain can also speed along our total recovery.
If you have been lost, hang in there as Lisa explains the purpose of pain and how we can learn to appreciate duality in our lives.
As Lisa explains, there can be no understanding of light without some understanding of darkness. There can be no integration without understanding ideas of separation. There can be no experience of contentment without some experience of discontentment. It is our hope that by listening to this recording as well as many of Lisa's others, that your ideas about self, your past, healing, and about recovery will help you reframe your perceptions about pain for the purpose of healing completely.
