Lily Scot is the author of Sating the Preta: A Memoir About Emotional Abuse and Recovery from Complex PTSD. Lily experienced her first trauma at age 4. Over many years she endured prolonged as well as periodic and diverse experiences from sexual molestation to emotional abuse in relationships to sexual assault and workplace abuse.
Lily gradually finds an awakening of her authentic self, more and more free of the “bonds of self” and of her history. While vigilant about any remaining “deficits of character,” she has found self-love, resilience, and a capacity for compassion and humility that had eluded her for so long.
