San Francisco Travel brings the city to life in a new podcast series, “Sounds of San Francisco.” Recorded by award-winning sound designers, these podcasts tell the story of the city’s iconic sites, offering a behind-the-scenes look into neighborhoods and sounds that make them unique, including: the canle car bell, the Pier 39 sea lions, and the restaurants of Chinatown.
In continuing to rock the NFL "SuperFan" series 2015-style, I will preview the San Francisco 49ers' upcoming season with Niners' fan/Alabama alum/SEC elitst Sedrick HaII.
Topics to be covered include:
What went wrong with the 2014 49ers?
Thoughts on the Niners' draft?
Why in the hell did the Niners fire Jim Harbaugh?
Can Colin Kaepernick lead the Niners back to the Promised Land?
How will the Niners fare in 2015?
San Francisco is a wonderuful place to visit full of diversity and culture. It is the most densely settled large city in the state of California. It was founded in 1776 when Spanish colonist established Presidio of San Francisco at the Golden Gate and MIssion San Francisco de Asis.
San Francisco has seen fires and earth quakes that have destroyed much of the city and then rebuilt.
This beautiful city has nice cool summer, steep hills, beautiful architecture, and little communities like China and Little Italy. It is home to major companies like Levi Straus, Dropbox, Weebnle, Yelp, Pinterest, and even Twitter.
It is one of my favorite cities to visit for the food, inluding the best clam chowder, delicious sourdough bread to garlic ice cream and some amazing Chinese food. The landmarks are beautiful and the natural beauty in San Fransisco and the sourrounding area is beautiful.
Come take a tour with us.

In the first edition of the 32 for 32 report by The Rocket Sports Breakdown, we'll be covering the San Francisco 49ers who were, by far, the biggest soap opera in all of the 2014 off-season. That drama carried over into the regular season which many of us had began to hear rumors of tension between the organization & former head coach Jim Harbaugh, who left to become head coach at his alma mater, Michigan University. In 2015, there have been many changes to this team. It started w/ a new head coaching hire in Jim Tomsula, which resulted in many folks scratching their heads & making more bar trips to drown their depressions. A handful of players have either retired, moved on to other teams in free agency, or simply been cut. However, some of their new editions have included linebacker Darnell Dockett, running back Reggie Bush, & wide receiver Torrey Smith, whose former team Baltimore Ravens defeated the 49ers in the Super Bowl just 3 seasons ago. He'll be reunited alongside Anquan Boldin, who was also on that Ravens team before being traded to San Fran. The big question for the Niners is what type of team will they be in 2015? We'll discuss that & their first round draft pick - defensive end Arik Armstead (Oregon) & more on The Rocket Sports Breakdown which airs this Wednesday morning @ 9:30am on Blog Talk Radio. Rocket Nation, get ready for our first big 32 for 32 power trip.
Today World Footprints will talk travel; specifically international travel and study abroad programs with Yahoo! Travel's Paula Froelich. Then, take a stroll through history as we explore San Antonio, Texas. The city of San Antonio is one of the oldest European settlements in Texas and, for decades, its largest city. Thousands of years before the Spanish settlements began the city was populated by various cultures of indigenous people. Today, San Antonio is investing energy in preserving its cultural heritage and ecosystem for future generations to come. We will discover the development initiatives taking place in San Antonio and get an update on the city's possible inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
Finally, everyone knows Orlando, Florida as the theme park capital of the world. However, we will discover another side of Orlando as we explore the Maitland Arts Center--the city's first National Historic Landmark.
Travel Talk Hosts Dawn Barraco, Jake Culbertson and Doreen Wong share their travel secrets on how they stopped paying retail price for their travel.
While the Travel Talk hosts had successful careers in other industries such as telecommunication, food and nonprofit they had two things in common - an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for travel.
A travel-preneur is a person with a wanderlust spirit who has incorporated their passion of travel into a business or enterprise.

This week's Travel Today with Peter Greenberg comes from Sacramento, California. Right now, the city is ground zero in one of the worst Southwest droughts in recent history. Sacramento Fire Chief Walt White talks about the wildfire situation—and also what off-the-brochure restaurants keep him and his firefighters fueled so they can keep Sacramento safe. There are dozens of great choices, because Sacramento is not just the capital of California, but is also the self-proclaimed “Farm-to-Fork Capital of the U.S.” and has compelling reasons to support that claim. How many farms are within a 30-mile radius of the capital? The answer might surprise you.
Craig McNamara, Founder of the Center for Land-Based Learning, gives us some remarkably practical advice about living—and traveling—more sustainably. Then, Lial Jones, Executive Director of the Crocker Art Museum, explains some of its more unusual exhibitions and programs, including one on art and pain management. There’s all of this and more when Travel Today with Peter Greenberg broadcasts from Sacramento, California.
