United Infrared's Thermal Imaging Conference will take place in the Omni Hotel in San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter from 3 to 6 June 2013. I'm Ken English. Online, I'm known as the MediaMojoGuy. Mojo is an abbreviation for mobile journalist. A mobile journalist is a person who uses the tools of the internet, i.e. audio (podcasts), video, images and text to add content to websites and blogs. I'll be in San Diego, California for United Infrared's Thermal Imaging Conference from June 3rd to June 6th, 2013 to talk about, and demonstrate, several social media applications, including BlogTalkRadio and Animoto. The Thermal Imaging Conference (TIC) will take place in the Omni Hotel in San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter. The Thermal Imaging Conference was originally for certified thermographers, but a new entry-level program called JumpStartIR has been added. More than 50 educations sessions will be held, including the JumpStartIR program which will introduce attendees to the concept of thermal imaging and the many applications available. Several manufacturers will be there with demo equipment ranging from thermal imaging cameras to moisture meters. The social media component will focus on podcasting - I'll produce three shows on BlogTalkRadio - and video. The video will feature the digital platform Animoto, along with the basics of setting up a YouTube channel distributing the videos on various social media sites, including Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest. The Thermal Imaging Conference will feature an array of speakers talking about infrared and social media applications.

Shaykh or Shehu 'Uthman ibn Muhammad (also known as "Dan Fodio") is the well-known and respected mujaddid (reviver of Islam) of 18th century West Africa (Hausaland or modern-day Nigeria). He reestablished all facets of Islam during his time. His book "Ihya us-Sunnah wa ikhmaadul Bid-ah"...(The Revival of the Sunnah and the Destruction of Innovation) was one of his larger and more famous texts. During his tajdeed movement, we would give a copy of this book to every Amir (leader) along with his flag.

Amir Ibrahim Bilal Smith was born in San Francisco California. Like many African American youth, during his teenage years he ran the streets of California and eventually got involved in gangs and drugs. This led to an incarceration in State Prison. It was during this incarceration that Allah guided him to Islam.
In 2000 Amir Ibrahim had the opportunity to sit with Shaikh Khatry from Mauritania to complete his Fard Ain using the traditional text written by Ibn Ashir. In 2005 Amir Ibrahim had the opportunity to sit with Shaikh Muhammad Ya'cobi Al-Hasani to hear the complete narration of The Shamil of Tirmidhi and afterwards was given a general ijaaza to transmit it from him.
He is currently an Amir/Imam from The Jamat of The Shehu in Sacramento California and Amir of Masjid Ibrahim Islamic Center, under the leadership of Imam Abu Laith Luqman Ahmed from Philadelphia.
He has translated several books authored from the Shehu and his family from Arabic to English, a couple of which are: Wathiqa ila Jamat (A treatise to the Muslim community, by Sultan Muhammad Bello, and Nuur-Al-baab (The illuminating door) by The Shehu.
He currently resides in Sacramento California with his wife and four children.

In 1991 Dan Rhema was the director of an intercultural training center in Mexico until an epidemic of dengue fever swept through the town where he lived. Dan contracted three different strains of the fever. Critically ill, he was flown to Atlanta, Georgia where the Centers for Disease Control specialists worked to save his life. The multiple types of dengue had deteriorated into a deadly combination of meningitis and encephalitis and, later that evening, Dan had a near-death experience. He left his body and took an unexpected journey to the other side. Dan did not come back to this world as the same person. His brain damaged from the fevers, Dan returned as a stranger in his own mind. During his recuperation, Dan found himself navigating an uncharted dream path through his unconscious mind. He began to chronicle this mystical dream journey by compulsively creating multimedia collages, sculptures, and masks from found objects. He also began to paint, capturing the images flowing through him in a unique three-dimensional style. It soon became apparent to Dan that these acts of creation were healing and re-creating him. He has taken this realization and made it the focus of his art. Trauma can awaken creativity and, through creativity, healing can begin. Told through a unique pairing of Dan’s words with over one hundred pieces of his art, I Close My Eyes To See, is the story of Dan’s extraordinary journey from near death to new life.
