Today I am joined by an honored guest. My middle daughters best friend, Samantha. There is an amazing reason Sam is on my show. She represents what I am calling the Excellent Generation, and she has just been awarded a Peabody. She will be traveling to NYC soon to recieve it and I could not be more proud. Ms. Stendal is still in college and she has already been to Rwanda to be part of a documentary on the healing of the people of Rwanda. She has also been internationally recognized for being part of the dynamic duo that put out the anti-rape video that went viral on the internet last year, she came up with the idea. A Needed Response - is a video response to the Stubenville Rape Case. So many of us A dults consider the next generation as being many negative things. My experience has been that this Excellent generation will be one of the reasons we stay on this planet, they are doing a more responsible job than my generation. The bar is higher with these kids, not kids anymore, more wise than many grown-ups, they feel free to speak out and take action. Not sitting waiting for someone else to fix things! Sam is just finishing her degree at the University of Oregon and I just found out, just this morning that Samantha Stendal has won a Peabody Award for her video - A Needed Response. Join us to hear this amazing young woman!

We'll also be talking to World Series of Fighting featherweight champion Georgi Karakhanyan, who's defending his title in two weeks against Rick Glenn. Next up, we'll speak with debuting UFC fighter Josh Shockley, who will be competing in the opening bout of UFC 174 this weekend. Recalling the principles proclaimed in the Charter of the United Nations which recognize the inherent dignity and worth and the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family as the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world.Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
“I urge you to oppose the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. This treaty surrenders U.S. sovereignty to unelected UN bureaucrats and will threaten parental care of children with disabilities. Our nation already has laws to protect Americans with disabilities." Mike Farris
Bob Dole, U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power, more than 700 disabilities, veterans and business groups and a bipartisan group of senators are pushing for the treaty to be brought up for a vote again before the August recess.
