Smooth,Sexy, Swag !! Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, MoonChylde began writing poetry and songs at the age of 8. Though most of her life was spent singing in church, MoonChylde was influenced early by the likes of Barbara Streisand, Teena Marie, Sade and Prince ! As A young girl she always participated in many community musical events, school talent shows and musical functions. Everything changed for MoonChylde when she met a group of local musicians looking for a female vocalist to front their band. After one audition, not only did she become the lead singer, she managed Atlanta’s own Melodic Moon Band for over 8 years. Performing a variety of Cover Music such as Smooth Jazz, Neo-Soul, Pop, R&B, Rock, 70's & 80's Dance and Top 40 Hits, she toured the Corporate Venues, Casino Circuit and WAS NOT your average Wedding Singer. And while she was contracted for 3 years as one of Horizon Casino's Regular Lounge Entertainers with her then band Melodic Moon, MoonChylde longed to write her own musical life stories and decided to take a break from the cover music scene. One evening she received a call from a band that was referred to her who was looking for a lead vocalist to perform for their show which was in 2 days. Not only did she nail the 40 songs in a 2 day period, but she impressed producer Greg Mullins Sr. of G'Man Productions so much that before he flew back out of town, he offered to produce her first CD!! Believing in her talent and musical gifts Greg and his partner Sandy "HotFudge" Wise of FunkedUp Productions began work on MoonChylde's first CD which is entitled "Caramel World". A CD compiled of smooth jazz mixed with some R&B and was just released nationally as of April 9, 2013
