Jason Seiden's personal mission is to ignite in others the power and influence of their individual voices; his professional goal is to help people, organizations, and brands find and fine-tune their voices so they can affect positive change at scale.

From his very first job, his career has centered around the highest pressure, highest stakes forms of communication: public speaking, social media, corporate politics, marketing, teaching, employer branding, authorship, blogging... the stuff that brings so many people to tears is exactly the stuff that brings him to life, and has helped make him a fearless communicator. Interview: Jon Wuebben of ContentLaunch

    in Marketing

I'm pretty excited about this podcast, our first in our new podcast studio at DK New Media! Jon Wuebben has been a long-time friend, we seem to bump into each other at every conference and love hanging out together. He's also an entertaining singer, the life of the dance floor, and can do a heck of a job on Karaoke.

Jon is a multi-book author and helps clients develop content strategies, deploy their content, and promote their content online. The frustrations of the industry led him to develop his own platform, ContentLaunch, for planning, coordinating, publishing and promoting content. It's primary focus is on the small and mid-size business market since Jon saw the industry only providing large, expensive, enterprise products to handle the process.

In the first half, we speak quite a bit about the platform, but the second half of the interview gets into some incredible detail on content marketing strategies and its use to build relationships with your prospects and customers. Be sure to listen - we've got great information throughout and will leave you with a task that will transform your content ideation strategy.

    in Business

Global Product Management Talk is pleased to bring you episode 036 of...

The Everyday Innovator with host Chad McAllister, PhD.

The podcast is all about helping people involved in innovation and managing products become more successful, grow their careers, and STANDOUT from their peers.

Our Guest: Jeremy Dillingham has a long list of skills and experiences as a seasoned product manager, including leading teams, roadmap planning, portfolio management, Lean Startup, Customer Discovery, Agile Development, and SaaS architectures. He is a mentor at Techstars, an accelerator for technology startups. He currently serves as a Senior VP at Return Path, a company that helps organizations promote and protect their brands.

    Some favorite product management tools:

Discovery – the process of talking with customers and validating what you are learning about the problems and needs. This involves writing a script of interview questions, prioritizing the questions, talking with customers to gain responses, and analyzing the data. Discovery sessions with customers should be done by two interviewers so one can focus on asking questions and the other can focus on taking notes.
Experiment – one pass through the build-measure-learn loop (per Lean).
Metrics – dashboards, KPIs, another important indicators.
Lean Canvas – see TEI 010 episode with the creator of the Lean Canvas.
