Rutgers fifth-year senior safety Wayne Warren wrapped up his career with the Scarlet Knights this past season. Now Warren is looking to get a shot at playing professionally. Recently he was in New Orleans for a workout for the Saints where he impressed but left without a contract offer. Plenty of options remains for the talented safety. At the Rutgers Pro Day, Kevin delivered stellar numbers compared to the top LB players at the Combine in Indianapolis. Kevin ran a blazing 40-Time of 4.54 which ranks him 2nd behind Vic Beasley. He ran a 60-Yard Shuttle of 11.41 which would rank him 3rd. He ran a 3-Cone of 7.07 which has him tied at 7th. Kevin also exhibited his versatility by showcasing his skills in Long Snapping.

Rutgers’ strong safety Lorenzo Waters earned a spot on the Associated Press All-Bowl Team. He started all 13 games at strong safety and led the secondary with 71 tackles. Waters tied for team lead with two interceptions and totaled a game-high 14 tackles (10 solo) in the Quick Lane Bowl (12/26) win against North Carolina, adding two fumble recoveries and a blocked field goal. His stellar played earned him AP All-Bowl Team. He also received the Iron Knight Award at team banquet, presented to the player who has demonstrated an exceptionally high level of mental and physical toughness throughout his career. He was also one of 27 named to the Big Ten All-Academic Team, picking up the status for the fourth time
A three-year starter in the defensive backfield for Rutgers, Waters finished his career with 211 tackles, 14 stops for loss, four sacks, seven pass break-ups, five forced fumbles and two blocked kicks. The senior led the RU secondary with 71 tackles in 2014.
Penn State hoops finally won a conference game this week! The Nittany Lions went 1-1 during its most recent stretch of games, as they lost in controversial fashion to Michigan State before taking down Rutgers at home. Actually, that's a bit weak. Penn State tied Rutgers to a tree and beat it over and over with a 9 Iron. Yeah, that's better.
