Nothing to Lose. Hosted by Brian W. Fugett, Michael D. Goscinski, and Brian "Big Daddy" Sturdivant with special guests ANOMALI & THE DEFEATED ROYALS.
ANOMALI is a hip hop artist with Unit 27 Productions out of Reno. He will be on discussing the upcoming release of his latest album, OTO (OUTTA THE ORDINARY), his song "Wasted", and other projects. Originally born in the Bay Area and then raised in Reno, NV, Anomali got into hip hop at an early age. At 14 he was writing short poems and stories as a way to express feelings he normally couldn't say. At 16 he was writing rap verses and memorizing some of his favorite lyricists. After high school he was still involved with the hip hop scene even though it was very small at the time. After being on the radio and winning a local freestyle battle, Anomali left the scene for eight plus years due to scarce shows and lack of interest. Remaining friends with old high school buddies that were opening a music studio, Anomali was approaced by Unit 27 about coming back to the scene. With some trepidation Anomali obliged and with a push from Unit 27 he is back and better than ever!
THE DEFEATED ROYALS, a folk/rock group from Rock Falls, Il, was started by brothers Josiah and Daniel Hazel. They made music in their spare time and played acoustic shows at local coffee shops. Over time, they enlisted their friends, Joel Wetzell, Dalton Hudgin, and Marcus Castillo to help them craft their sound. They are currently working on a six-song EP and continuing to develop as a group. They will be playing at the White Ripple Gallery in Hammond, Indiana on January 25th for the Blotterature Literary Magazine "Coming Out Party."
