Ladybug is a female Rottie that is 12 years young and Tom's constant companion. Her breed usually only lives 9 years, as did her mom and dad. When she met Dr. Carolyn, she couldn’t walk any longer. Dr. O’s combined Western and alternative protocol has given her a new lease on life. She now walks well and even trots gingerly, chasing a rabbit once in a while with a halfhearted, fun attitude and no intention of catching it. Tom credits her new lease on life to Dr. O.
In the first segment, dog training and behavior expert Julie Forbes talks about her vacation time "off the grid" with her dogs and how important it is to be present in your life. Then Julie talks with Lisa Fobian, who is putting on an event this weekend called "Help Bruno Sniff Out K9 Nasal Cancer" - in memory of handsome Bruno - the Rottie who passed away this year to this terrible disease.
The event is a fundraiser for Chase Away Canine Cancer. Find them all on Facebook.

High Caliber K-9, a business located in Ohio touts itself as a doggie day care, training and obedience school and also offers importing and stud services. It was also the scene of incredible horror when Animal Charity humane agents went to the property after a complaint from a woman who said she couldn’t get her dog back from owner, Steve Croley.
When agents, Kyle Ziegler and Joe Borosky, got no answer to their knock, they prevailed upon a next door neighbor to allow them to look from their back yard. What they saw was gruesome! Worried over conditions and concerned about other dogs, they entered the property. They found 7 dead and 8 starved emaciated dogs inside. Nitro was one of the dogs that were starved to death. Please join us on Wed, May 11, to discuss the horrible story of abuse behind Nitro, the battle for Nitro's law, and what you can do to help. For those that do not know the story of Nitro (warning graphic images: https://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=225957154026 ) Please join us on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Rescue-101/148882708510934
